This resort checks most of the boxes for me. I felt extremely safe walking around as a female solo traveler. The room was clean and well maintained on a daily basis. I had a swim out room and the pool was lovely. Loads to do on this property for families and adult travelers.

Wait time to get food in the Ala carte restaurants are unbearable. It took over 45 minutes to get burger and fries. Then another 30 minutes for a slice of cheese cake… we ended up leaving. Staff are very pleasant. The problem is in the kitchen

I believe that the property is not telling the truth as it indicated that they had premium drinks. The drinks are the same as nextdoor Corendon. It's not premium. Here are my issues: 1) No premium drinks!!!!! This is false advertising. 2) No general area coffee machines for after hours service. The ones in the Rif buffet area never had cups. 3) Although advertised on App, there was no 24/7 bar or coffee 4) Pera bar coffee machine was always out of coffee by 5am. 5) On checking in I advised front desk on my bathroom body wash being empty. I left with it still not being refilled. I had to use the hand wash. Observation: There was a piece to toilet tissue stuck on the inner wall of the toilet when I checked in. Do you know after two days room service it was still there. I then used the brush to remove. This led me to believe that the cleaning staff was no doing their job AND there is no quality review of rooms prior to check in. Other than that all else was acceptable.

While the rooms are air-conditioned, nothing else is. The restaurants are all open and it's usually pretty warm , even at night which makes it uncomfortable. Pigeons and flies can be seen in the restaurants and sometimes make their way on the dishes. Some staff were nice but most of them just seem to be preoccupied physically and mentally with getting their tasks done rather than being friendly or greeting you warmly. The main pool on the adult side is quite deep and is not graduated so Its impossible to bathe in it unless you can swim or you're tall ( > 6 feet). While I probably won't go back, I won't say cross it off your list as : - it's clean in the rooms - nice water park - nice desserts / food options /fruits / drinks/ bars - nice beach front ( beaches are Stony in Curacao) - nice outdoor ambience

A few SMALL criticisms. Keep in mind we enjoyed the property a lot. 1. Drinks were actually TOO strong :). A rum and coke was 75% rum. Left a few behind as unpleasant to drink 2. Maya and Harbor were VERY slow. Maya was 1.5 + hours for service although waiter was moving quickly. Seemed to just be the kitchen. And then food was cold. Harbor we just sat waiting and watching staff walking around. Felt ignored. Left after 20+ min. By the way; it was not busy. 3. Maybe a little more entertainment or a later pool option for night activities.

The hotel is excellent. Looks exactly like the pictures. The beds are comfy and rooms are kept clean and spacious. Food is Delicious and the buffet options are endless. The one thing I would say is they should play music at the bars. When sitting there enjoying a drink late night you do so in silence, doesn't exactly scream "good time"otherwise this hotel is perfect!!

The property is beautiful, and the food is amazing. I do Have two complaints the pool needs to stay open to at least 9pm. And the late-night food needs to be more than just nuggets and fried cheese ball. Other than that, it was almost the perfect spot to stay at.

We had a great stay at the Rif. We received a few extras for booking with Expedia which is always a welcome surprise. The staff was friendly. The bar service was great! The food was ok. It’s not a 5 star resort but we never left anywhere hungry or thirsty. Our room was clean and the bar well stocked. The hotel is within walking distance to town. We walked to town on Thursday night for the fireworks. We would stay at the Rif again.

It was a great stay! Lovely property with lots of amenities. The room was comfortable, staff however could be alot more friendly. On one occassion i was met with a rude and hostile response from a chef when notifying them that a particular snack buffet item was out. It was summer time, so there were lots of kiddies behaving wild and diving into the pool non-stop, ignoring the no-diving rules. Restaurant service was particularly slow at the Harbour, and the food across all restaurants was average overall. The BBQ restaurant was the standout, while the Italian restaurant was also ok. I am struggling to find any alcohol in the mixed drinks served - we even had shots, and still struggled to find/taste the alcohol. The water park was enjoyable even for adults - overall the property is in immaculate condition.

The overall experience was 5/10 because of the staff. From check in to check out, they were not friendly and did nothing to “cater” to the clients. Not even a “welcome to the Rif”, we celebrated a birthday and an anniversary and not one question was asked or anything “special” done. Everything seemed like a bother…. We stood in the buffet area daily with our food in our hands searching for tables to sit and if we sat we then had to go and get our own cutlery etc. The only friendly staff was at the barbecue restaurant, as a Jamaican I really realize that a Jamaican tourist experience is really “world class” compared to what we had here. The Hilton name was tarnished here.

I had to cancel my reservation at Hotel The Rif due to a medical emergency, my husband was unexpectedly hospitalized. I informed the hotel through the touroperator and requested a cancellation. Unfortunately, I never received a response, and to my surprise, the booking was later marked as “completed” as if we had stayed there, which we absolutely did not. This lack of communication and accountability during a time of crisis was extremely disappointing. I would have appreciated at least a confirmation or some empathy regarding the situation. Instead, I feel ignored and let down. I sincerely hope the hotel improves its customer service and handles cancellations more responsibly in the future, especially in emergency cases.
