Margaritaville Beach Resort Grand Cayman - Seven Mile Beach Hotels

Margaritaville Beach Resort Grand Cayman

269 West Bay Road, Seven Mile Beach - Map
"Newly remodeled resort close to 7mile"
Friendly staffers work hard to overcome a resort that is about half remodeled and half under construction. It's going to be nice when completed. Two showcase restaurants will be available with the steakhouse neatly ready to open in May '17. Good place for families with small children as they've constructed their own rock enclosed lagoon for safe play. Snorkeling on the reef just outside the lagoon was very good

"Nice hotel with lots to do"
The overall experience at Morritts was great, minus the outdated suite with dirty floors. I love that each day they had something entertaining. The restaurants were great.

"Location, location, location!"
This is a modern but not enormous condo complex with large balconies overlooking the sea and dive operation dock, on the quiet East End of Grand Cayman about 45 minutes North of the airport. The rooms are bright and attractively furnished . The kitchen appliances are modern, the counters all of one piece in white Corian (delightful to work in and clean) and the bathrooms are Corian-countered and modern as well. The location is perfectly positioned minutes away from restaurants and a market to buy food. There is a bar/restaurant on the water in the complex that serves breakfast as well as lunch and dinner-- folksy and intimate. Although two restaurants were within walking distance, a car is recommended. (Driving is English style -left side of the road!) Desk staff were so welcoming and friendly. Dive operation, Ocean Frontiers, is super-fantastic with staff that is expertly experienced and extremely safety-conscious. Having the dive operation on site is more than wonderful and the variety of locations to dive was abundant. Can't say enough about these folks on the staff of Ocean Frontiers and we have dived all over the world.

"Great hotel at a great price! "
This was a great hotel located right across the street from the Westin on Seven Mile Beach. We initially tried to book the Westin, but it was all booked up. The staff there recommended the Sunshine Suites as a "sister property". So, we looked it up on Expedia and all the reviews were great and the price couldn't be beat. Also, since it was a sister property to the Westin, they gave you access to everything at the Westin property....beach, chairs, pool, water sports, spa, gym, and you were able to order drinks and food and still bill it to your room!!. Here are my Pros and Cons... Pros: 1. Great Location and great price. 2. Onsite restaurant, The Sunshine Grill, had great food. I recommend the shrimp tacos with toasted cheese!! Awesome. 3. Free continental breakfast. Provided every day and had waffles, hard boiled eggs, toast, fruit, coffee, juices, pastries, and cereal. Nothing spectacular, but good start to the day without having to pay any extra money. Also, kept the big breakfast to a minimum so we could still fit in those bathing suits!! Plus allowed us to save more money for cocktails on the beach and at the pool!! 4. Comfortable room and had a suite with a kitchen. 5. Use of all facilities at the Westin. Cons: 1. You are not right on the beach. Just across the road. About a 5 minute walk. Not a big deal. 2. Rooms need to be updated and more comfortable beds brought in. 3. Room show some signs of wear, but were very clean. Need some maintenance.

"Great hotel with amazing views"
Room service was excellent and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful at all times. The food in the on site restaurant was amazing - and very reasonably priced in comparison to other island eating places. Never disappointed! The only downside is that without a car you are pretty much stuck here as it is too hot to walk anywhere - even at 7 am. However, with car hire you are not too far from anywhere and it is quieter than in other parts of the island. The hotel does provide a free shuttle bus but sadly the first bus is at 10 am which is far too late to be on the go and the last bus in the evening is 6 pm - much too early if you want to dine away from the resort. Every evening trip involved a taxi home which, with tip, was around $15. A bit hefty for a 10 minute ride.

"Not a bad place overall"
The hotel has a very "condo-like" feel to it and is a bit older. Very nice staff. Very short walk to a nice beach. Pool area clean but a little dated. Hot tub is very small. Some very unsightly construction going on at the north end of the hotel (they try to hide it with a short wall, but it's very noticeable) The biggest problem was the bed. The beds were so firm in all of the rooms that it was better to sleep on the couch. Firm does not begin to describe how hard these beds were!

Colliers Bay is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Colliers Bay, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Colliers Bay hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
