"brill as always"
We stay at this hotel as a stop off on a long drive and it never disappoints. Clean, comfortable and a lovely bar/cafe/restaurant. Easy walk into town for a a few drinks etc and get to watch the storks fly in which is an experience. Lovely as ever

"Charming hotel in a small village"
Surrounded by farms, this little village has a few historic buildings. It takes about 15 minutes to go around the city center. Nothing much around. Few restaurants nearby. The hotel is confortable with a rustic charm of old stone buildings.

"A charming historic building with good food. "
An enjoyable stay only spoilt by ineffective air conditioning in the bedroom. This was a pleasant early summer day in May. July and August could be very uncomfortable. Otherwise the restaurant, the bar and public rooms were all really excellent and overall good value

"Very good.......but....."
The location is not good. The photographs and description would lead you to believe that the hotel was in the heart of the country, and it is except that is trapped between a factory and railway line right on top of a major roundabout. Everything else - very good.

"Good place to stay if you know what it is."
The first thing to stay is that this is listed as a hotel which it is not. There are no hotel facilities, not even breakfast, and they are just self catering apartments. There is no reception desk. When we arrived the place was locked. We waited and then telephoned the number given on the booking form and someone came round to open up. Apparently they had tried to phone my mobile number, but as I had given a UK mobile number (reasonable as I was in the UK when I booked) but they didn't have the sense to add the international codes nor had Expedia told them they needed to do it. However, having resolved these issues, the place was delightful to stay in. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. We wished we had booked two nights there to explore the area and visit the monastery which is the main attraction in the town. There only seemed to be one restaurant in town, which was very friendly, and we didn't find any food shops to sell us the makings of breakfast, so it is a good idea to bring something with you. So it was good, but not necessarily what we were expecting.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Calahorra hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
