"Perfect Hotel crazy close to Playa Carmen"
As a solo traveler in Santa Teresa, I couldn't have picked a better hotel to stay at! All the staff (from the housekeeping to the office staff) was so amazing, so caring, and attentive to my needs! The staff became like family to me. I had a long day of travel from Arenal/La Fortuna, and Carolina was the first person I met once arriving to Hotel Santa Teresa. She instantly made me feel welcome and relaxed and I quickly forgot about my long morning. The rooms were clean, the shower was large and had great water pressure. I had a partial view of the ocean right outside my room and I had a balcony where I could sit and listen/watch monkeys! The rooms were quiet, bed was comfortable, and the pool was a perfect option after being at the beach all day. To the beach: it literally took me 2 min to walk to the beach, and downtown Santa Teresa was right there! I really appreciated that there was also an ATM right around the corner, which in some cases, isn't always the case. I ended up loving Santa Teresa so much and the hotel and staff, that I ended up staying another night and the hotel made it easy to do so. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Hotel Santa Teresa and will be back as soon as I can. To Hotel Santa Teresa: thank you so much for an amazing, memorable time in Santa Teresa, a time I truly will never forget! Pura Vida! Gracias mis Amigos, hasta Luego! Sari- Seattle traveler

"Really spacious, luxury individual cabanas"
Just a minute from the sandy beach, then a. 10 minute walk to fantastic waves for boogie boarding or intermediate surfing. Ocean views, open air, super comfy beds, super clean, great maid and turn down service with lit candles everywhere. Great for kids and romance. Chef is excellent. Only fault is not cleaning up the dead leaves that have fallen all around and taking better care of the grounds and gardens.

"Setting will not disappoint!"
Beautiful grounds and view, clean and spacious room (ours had a large balcony), best foreign bathroom I've ever encountered. Howler monkeys, gorgeous birds, and iguanas are right outside your door. Restaurant is serviceable (basic breakfast, delicious iced tea, and a kind staff member made a special herbal tea when my son and I got food poisoning) but we preferred the local restaurants and "sodas" for lunch and dinner (thus the food poisoning?). Staff was very accommodating about excursions, which we pre-arranged by email- we did the Curu hike, bioluminescent kayaking (AMAZING!), Isla Tortuga (great snorkeling, Spider Monkey Island, nice boat ride, SUP/ kayaking, yummy lunch, crowded but pretty beach, puffer fish swimming near shore!). The hotel also arranged Montezuma zip lining and called ahead to get info on the caves at Barro Honda. Our local guide, Thomas, was delightful, unmatched for enthusiasm and knowledge. We used the hotel as home base for day trips, including Santa Teresa/ Mal Pais. Pool is not huge but clean and nice. Hotel hosts a large variety of nationalities. Downsides- getting there requires traveling in roads that defy description (common in CR), terrible WiFi ("sorry, that's Costa Rica!"), no gym (and running on the roads would risk your life).

"Escape to Paradise!"
While a drive there from Liberia Airport was a bit long (we should have taken a plane to Tambor), the experience of Tango Mar was one we'll remember for a very long time. The location is breathtaking! The accommodations were clean, comfortable and modern. The staff: Hannia, Rosabel, Xavier, Royland, Jesus, Sonia, Jorge, and many more were always attentive, warm and friendly... always smiling and ready to help. Tango Mar's owner, Hilde, was also involved in making our experience a positive one. We were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday there, and the staff arranged for us to have dinner under a private cabana next to the ocean; they even had a special cake personalized for him, and as all their food was, it was delicious! This is a resort where you could do nothing or do a lot and be very pleased with your vacation. Oh, and the beach... heavy surf, but gorgeous!

"Great Hotel near the Beach and Restaurants"
My party of 3 had 2 rooms spent 2 nights at the hotel. We enjoyed the pool and being so close to everything. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The street noise in room closest to street was disturbing, but by 10 PM everything was fairly quiet. It was a great location to hike to the Montezuma Waterfalls and other restaurants along the road. Would definitely stay here again.

"Nice , clean and comfortable."
Nice small hotel , not too close not to far from Sta Teresa downtown, quiet , beautifull gardens ,relaxing. Food options at the restaurant are not the best and the availability also needs to improve , but there are plenty of restaurants nearby so is not a big deal.

Cabuya is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cabuya, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cabuya hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
