"Pretty basic accommodation next to hotel"
The room was quite basic but clean and warm. The bed was good and the facilities clean but lacking an extractor fan in the toilet. Meal were at the pub, which were fantastic! The outside table was badly corroded and in need of replacement . Amazing views from the room.

Had a very pleasant stay at RACT/RACV Hobart Apartment hotel. Staff were very friendly and obliging . Our room was not ready for check in as we had arrived early, but the staff did all possible to check us in early as we needed to get ready for a wedding. The room was large, very clean and provided everything we needed. Can definitely recommend anyone to stay .

"Self contained by the Hobart docks"
We were two post-retirement couples looking for a base from which to explore Hobart for a few days, and had an apartment with two separate bedrooms. The Old Woolstores Apartment Hotel is well positioned, being just a short walk from all the amenities on the Hobart waterfront including the ferry to MONA. Everything that was provided, from reception to facilities, was excellent. if you're thinking of staying there perhaps be aware that our room at any rate didn't have a view, but of course the price was OK. If there had been a couple more arm chairs we would have used them, and the utensils available for cooking were adequate but minimal. But I mention such things just to be complete, the apartment suited us admirably and we had a great time there. Note the Museum and Art Gallery are just a couple of blocks up the road, and make for a very interesting visit as well.

"Stepping back in time in Hobarts CBD"
What a delightful experience it was to stay at Hadley's Orient Hotel. Located in the CBD it is easy to get around the city or over to Constitution Dock and the Salamanca Markets. The hotel was built by convicts and it maintains the quite elegance and gentle pace of yesteryear. Our rooms were very comfortable with quality amenities provided and a good pillow menu to suit all needs. We were located on the first floor and enjoyed walking down the staircase to reception, restaurant and bar. We enjoyed drinks in the bar whilst comfortably seated on a chesterfield suite or in rattan chairs. Our barman Ben was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the locally made gins, scotches, beers and wines. Thoroughly enjoyed the bar experience and thanks to Ben for making it so enjoyable. We enjoyed the Royal high tea immensely and I would recommend this to all. My daughter is vegan and the chef Anthony prepared a vegan version of high tea for her which was excellent. We also treated ourselves to a continental buffet breakfast daily and I indulged in a hot breakfast on two occasions. Excellent selection of fruit, juices, breads and delicious pastries were available and the selection of hot options would meet all needs - including eggs benedict and smoked salmon. The welcome we received from the reception staff every time we came and left the hotel was appreciated and all needs were met. I must mention Elisse from reception who helped us organise the high tea with short notice.

Bruny Island is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Bruny Island, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Bruny Island hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
