"Good location, boutique feel"
I was very impressed with the Golden Tulip. The staff were helpful and trustworthy, the breakfast buffet excellent, the rooms nice and in good condition. Each floor was small which allowed for a very private feel to it. The hotel is energy conscious with motion activated lights and your room key only accesses the floor you are staying on plus conference, lobby, gym and rooftop pool levels. Wifi was generally good. I would certainly stay here again.

"Hotel close to lot of places of interest."
Former Hilton hotel, but isn't Hilton standards anymore. Hotel lobby, pool area look good. Standard rooms are ok, but a bit outdated. We booked a standard room. I advise the hotel to check the rooms before they show their guests to their rooms. The rooms can be smelly because of humidity, do a check on the AC and safe etc. It would be good to offer each guest a bottle of complementary water every day, since you can't drink tab water. Although only reception staff speaks a bit of English, all personnel is very friendly and helpful. The bartenders are very nice and make good caipirinhas. As for the restaurant; good food and most of the male servants are good. Overall we had a good stay at this hotel. The only reason why I wouldn't recommend it, is the WiFi. They offer free WiFi, but most of the time it didn't work or was very slow.

"Good Location, Generally Clean, Plain Rooms"
Hotel Experience: Amazing lobby Rooms are plain, extremely plain, but very clean Room Interior: The TV is hanging from the ceiling Shower door wouldn't close There are switches in the nightstand to turn off lights --- I really hate those :) Check in Experience: The reservation price included breakfast. I checked in at 9am and realized I was checking out very early at 4am, so as I was hungry I asked if I could have breakfast that day as I would miss breakfast on my checkout day. I thought it was a fair request; I had flown since 3am and was hungry. The front desk attendant said no and that it wasn’t possible. I was like, OK and proceeded to ask where the closest bakery was. Another front desk attendant overheard this and went to the mager who approved my request as I wasn't asking for anything for free, basically replacing breakfast from one day to another. My advice it to ask for a supervisor, be professional in how you ask your request, but don't take what the front desk attendant says as a final answer. Most of them are not trained in Customer Service. Belem Hotel Advice: Crowne Plaza is close by. I encourage anyone wanting to stay in this neighborhood to compare there two hotels. Then, make a decision on the best one for you. Good luck in your hotel search in Belem do Para!

"Service Sells"
We were totally impressed by the courtesy, helpfulness, great level of customer service by the staff. Both my wife and I only spoke Spanish and English and yet there seemed to be no language barrier. Yes some staff spoke English. From the Security, Doormen, Waiters, Maids, Maintenance (we had a little problem with our room safe) and the Front Desk Staff, service was impeccable. Special thanks to Yasmin who NEVER missed a beat when we presented ourselves to the front desk. When we went out at nights and were ready to return we were told to call the Hotel and they would send a taxi to bring us back. Breakfast was an excellent variety and tasty even though simple. We are surely going back there on our next trip to Belem later this year.

Belem is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Belem, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Belem hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
