"Historic Hotel Near Budapest City Center"
It's easy to see why this hotel is considered one of the best in Budapest. While my accommodations was considered economy, my room served me well. It was unusually hot during my stay, so I missed air conditioning. Regardless, the hotel and grounds are immaculate, the service prompt and courteous, the food was good, and perhaps my favorite part was the close proximity to city center. There were metro and tram stations directly outside the front door, which made getting around Budapest on public transportation easy. From what I've been told, I missed out when I did not experience the thermal spas; I'll come prepared on my next visit!

"Nice hotel at an affordable price"
Hotel has good links of trams to attractions. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, room designs are average. Conference rooms are great. Pool and sauna is an advantage esp when they close at 10pm late during weekdays. Restaurant food is good, however very costly. There are not much restaurants around so if you want good food take the tram or walk about 8-9mins.

"Good place to stay"
We have stayed in the hotel in May of 20017. The one thing I can recommend that you ask for the room away from the traffic. The air conditioning is about as good as a fan and on summer days it gets hot. In May we could sleep with the windows open but only on opposite side of the main street. The breakfast is very good and overall we liked the hotel. Get a box of tissues yourself. The hotel doesn't provide it.

"Nice budget hotel with easy access into Budapest "
Reception staff were welcoming, spoke good English and were very helpful with public transport. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable.Breakfast was served in their restaurant a couple of doors up the road, there were some unusual foods on the buffet but we asked for fried eggs and the lady made them each morning when she saw us enter the restaurant, we always had plenty to eat. The bar in the hotel was very limited but they did get some wine in for us. Very easy to get into central Budapest, there public transport is brilliant. Overall for what we paid to stay here i would recommend.

"Outstanding Service!"
While the era in which the building was built was not the best the interior furnishings, helpful attitudes, and cleanliness are indicative of outstanding customer service. Normally we do not order room service but their restaurant provided great food and service. The Somloi Sponge Cake must be tried by every visitor. Our 8th floor room had a beautiful view of the Castle Hill District displaying the towers of the medieval era Magdalene Church and Mátyás Temple. Behind the hotel is the Déli/Southern Train Station and red line of the subway system as well as a grocer, cafe, and numerous fast food options at the station. The tram out from can take you to Széll Kálman Square/Tér where one can find a host of restaurants and shopping options, Mammut Bevásárlóközpont/Mammoth Shopping Center.

"good hotel close to the downtown"
I was really surprised of the quality of the hotel on a good way. The room we got was great. furnitures were a little old and the bed was very basic, but these are all the complaints I can think of. Very great value

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
