Nice stay

Booked this awesome hotel after a long drive from west Greece! Beautifull place with an awesome staff. Nice bar! Great comfortable rooms. Nice view in the back and plenty to eat on the area. Shuttle service available for the airport. And a very good breakfast buffet!

Very nice hotel and the views from our room were amazing. A very convenient location to shops and restaurants. The breakfast options were very good and the coffee was excellent. The room we had was quite small and it had a very tiny bathroom as well. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay.

The main benefit here is the shuttle to and from the airport. But be aware that you have to make prior arrangements with the hotel for this. And the property is 20-30 minutes from the airport, so it really isn’t that close. There is a glass cabinet in the lobby where you can leave your luggage before check in. We were assured it was secure but it is accessible to anyone and everyone so that claim is questionable. The front desk staff were not nearly as attentive or friendly as other places we stayed at. Room is reasonably comfortable. Shower is not fully enclosed so you will get the rest of the bathroom wet when you shower unless you are really careful. Breakfast is decent. Not bad for a single night stay but I don’t see myself staying here again.

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. It was very conveniently located to the ferry travel which was just about a six minute walk away. Room was clean and fairly modern. The receptionist was very friendly and let me use the phone for a local calls which I really appreciate!

This was my fourth stay at Hotel Avra. It's clean, for great views and super close to the port. My only complaint is partly my fault. I accidentally booked the wrong day as I was flustered with a last minute flight change. The hotel refused to honor the reservation for the correct date even though they had more than enough rooms available both days and I caught the mistake within an hour of booking. (I had actually booked the room after check-in time and meant to do it for the next day.) Multiple calls and emails from Hotels.com and myself but the response was not in my favor.

My worst experience on a hotel stay. Staff are not at all pleasant to talk to. They are very rigid and rude and don't work with you. I was told not to adjust my air conditioning in the room because it changed others room temperatures. They wouldn't let me turn on AC because apparently March is considered winter time and there is no AC during winter times. My whole family struggled to sleep at night. Its a 4-star hotel, and the TV doesn't have any streaming apps except youtube. I asked for a weighting machine, and I was told to bring all my luggage down to check the weights. For a bottle of water, I was told to come down to pick it up. Absolute ridiculous. There was not a single thing good to say about this stay. Absoultely terrible.
