"Excellent View"
This was my second stay at this Hotel in 5 years. It is located on the Mosel River and all rooms have a view of the river. This is a small, family run establishment with an excellent restaurant and a small Biergarten. The room was large and comfortable. Ordinarily, most German hotels have soap dispensers in the shower. This hotel only has soap packets which were slightly inadequate for two people. Not to worry - I always have a bar of soap in my travel kit for such emergencies. Service is excellent. During my stay I needed to borrow an iron - something not generally available in Germany hotels. The Manager loaned me the hotel's iron as well as the ironing board.

"Charming, quiet, and comfortable!"
We had a lovely stay. Easy walking distance to old town, rivers, & train station. Hotel staff was informative, extremely polite and even brought a fan to our room on the first night. Breakfast had something for everyone.

"In the middle of the woods "
Coming at night without a GPS and limited German, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and in the end well coming with a hot chocolate. The hotel is attractive as long as you like traditional furnishings, but it comes with an extraordinary view over rolling fields, lovely terraces and with a small private wellness area, pool and sauna WITH and adjoining private Garden. Swim, Sauna and sun yourself or gaze at the moon while you cool down. I only ate breakfast there, which was a generous buffet not the style of Germsn breakfasts. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Ruedesheim.

"Quality hotel with a view"
This is a great option if your travels bring you to Boppard or the surrounding area (Koblenz, etc.). The restaurant is great for dinner or for the buffet breakfast. Great views overlooking the Rhine. Bonus if you like Gummi's - the hotel is owned by the family that runs Haribo - so you can get some memorabilia or discount candy! My only gripe is the lack of air conditioning can be punishing in July, August or early September. It makes up for it in charm though. I've stayed in other similar places that include a fan in the room. Might be a good idea here.

"Love this hotel"
This was our fourth stay at the Trapp, as always we received a warm welcome. The room was lovely and the restaurant food second to none! Brillant location , close to drosselgasse, but far enough away from being disturbed by revellers.

Ahr is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Ahr, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Ahr hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
