Great Location
I have stayed here twice and both times have been very pleased especially with the location. Close to the train station, monorail, food hall, shops, and the hotel itself was very nice....Great Bar with a decent bar menu. The 'sliders' are to die for! I requested to get in a room early and they kindly accommodated me.

Low standards
Very average hotel, great location and non friendly staff, small rooms with a very high rate, simply speaking it is definitely not a four stars hotel.You will be charged for everything, wi fi, parking, local call. You can pay little more and be in a much better hotel close to the harbor.I don¿¿¿t believe how this hotel managed to get the four stars, however, this hotel worth not more than two stars.Try something else to enjoy Sydney better.

Glad we stayed
In Sydney again, an opportunity to see this year's version of the Vivid Light show. This time we stayed at Rydges World Square on Pitt Street.Were impressed with the staff from the doorman to the cleaners, along with the rooms, the service and especially the Sphere Restaraunt. We scored our king size bed, which was very comfortable, bathroom had a bathtub and shower, room a work desk, flat screen TV, hanging space, bar fridge and access to the web. We would have upgraded to a suite but only had a smoking suite available when we checked in. Lifts were great too, one of the fastest we have enjoyed.Its location is fairly central and we really enjoyed our stay and thought it was excellent value.Another worthwhile place to stay in the CBD that we shouldn't have left so long to return.

Great service
On arrival I was really impressed with the efficient check-in process. Despite our large group, there was no waiting due to the number of staff available to assist and even with the short check-in time, our bags were waiting in our rooms.The rooms were well equipped, clean and comfortable. The bed was one of the best I have slept in (the pillows were outstanding). Unfortunately, street noise throughout the night still affected my sleep.The mini-bar was one of the most affordable that I have ever encountered and the rooms have a safe for storing valuable belongings. There is also a guest laundry and laundry service.Rydges has a reasonably sized gym, although I found it¿¿¿s location on a smoking floor a little curious. While the gym was fine, the smell in the corridor was overpowering.The location can¿¿¿t be faulted, within walking distance of many Sydney¿¿¿s attractions including Darling Harbour.

Would not return
We checked in on Thursday 30th may, for a long weekend in Sydney, to be dropped off firstly by cab in the wrong entrance of the hotel as it was after 9pm , no real directions on the sign as to where the main entrance was located and given i have a disability would help maybe a map showing where to go...Next morning we woke to someone else entering our room with a room key and no it wasn't room service or cleaning... When we went down to tell reception it was like that couldn't have happened but we will investigate, we did get a reply that basically sad nothing and no real apology as to hw this could have happened,, some other guest entering our room.. Would have thought maybe a complimentary something would have been given....not.....I wouldn't stay there again.... And last night we went for a drink in the bar to be told that it closes in 15 mins so best order and once 10 pm it will close and we will ask you to leave whether you have finished your drinks or not.. Is this Sydney ?
