Pleasantly surprised
I expected the hotel to be mediocre at best, based on the previous reviews. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, breakfast includes a wide array of delicious treats and the location is great as well, with urban railway, supermarket, pizza place and bar a few steps away.We got there by metro from Termini to Flaminio/Piazza del Popolo and from there we took the urban train to the first station Euclide.It's clearly visible that the hotel management is trying hard to restore the hotel to its previous glory, but there are a few quirks that still make the hotel feel like a 3 star one at best. The bathroom needs repair/renovation (the fixed shower and bathtub combination is not good, the faucets make some weird noises sometimes), the room windows are sliding ones and they don't slide all the way leaving a small gap that makes the nights a bit noiser.What we loved about it: room furnishings, electronic key card, smart TV, hair drier (don't pack one). Overall we had a nice stay in Rome, thanks for accommodating us Regent Hotel!

Best value family hotel
Very good service for a very good family room price in a central area, not far from public transport, near to a lot of interesting places.One extra night was arranged while in for the same price as the Internet one.

not that bad
It was a good value for money for accommodation in Rome. Furniture is old, breakfast is bad, hospitality is ok, room was clean, wi fi only in hotel lobby. Nice, residential neighbourghood, hotel is placed just next to train station which is good and you are only one stop from a metro station (Piazza del Popolo) but train is not operating after 11pm. Close to Villa Borghese and Auditorium. Great coffee in a bar across the street from train station.

Very good hotel. My family and I spent five days during the Christmas holidays. Although feedback that hotel with old furniture, we were pleasantly surprised by the daily change of sheets and good housekeeping. Breakfast was great. Only we missed internet in the room. The location is also good.

No free WIFI in the rooms, expensive
This seems to be a hotel from the 60, where very little has changed since then. Rooms are fine but the internet situation is pathetic. Firstly the only free WIFI is in the lobby. Over two days it was not working and the staff didn't seem concerned about that. Breakfast sub par but espressos from the bar were free.
