Another great stay at the Harcourt.Rooms were very clean and the staff were more than helpful.All in all this is the ideal hotel - as long as you're in Dublin for a party!!!The breakfast is superb and the hotel is situated perfectly for all the nightlife.Already booked in to stay here again this summer :)

Never again
This hotel is located in what must be Dublin's party street and consequently, on a Thursday at least (the night I was there) and presumably through the weekend, the noise on the street is quite unbelievable. Needing an early night I turned in at 11.30pm but the shouting, singing and screaming below (I was on the 3rd floor), not to mention the taxis whose drivers unabashedly used their horns through the night, kept me wide awake until well after 4.30am. This was a dreadful hotel experience and I can only recommend you stay well away from this establishment UNLESS you can get a guarantee that they will put you in a room which is not facing the street. That might be acceptable. The room itself was OK, but the fact that the window would not close properly probably exacerbated the noise situation (but not by much; I didn't notice any double-glazing). Breakfast wasn't included in my deal but there's a great little place, Cafe Bliss on Montague Street, which does a good breakfast - not quite making up for the rotten night I had but cheering me up nonetheless.

Party atmosphere!
We stayed for a hen party during May 2013. The reception staff were very helpful and offered to hold my suitcase until the rest of my party arrived. We were sharing 3 or 4 to a room. The room itself was a decent size, with a double and a single bed for 3. The sheets were clean, but had no duvet instead a harsh cotton blanket, not a problem when covered over with the sheet. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was small but functional and clean, including a bath with overhead shower. The water was not great, but just does the job. The noise that surrounds this hotel does not make for a good night¿¿¿s sleep, unless of course you have been out yourself. Rooms at the front of the hotel will get the noise from the Luas and the clubs across the street. The rooms at the back are subject to the noise from the residents¿¿¿ bar late into the night. This was not a problem for our party, but I can see how it would be a serious disturbance for others.The breakfast had a fair selection of hot food, essential for the morning after. The quality was good, served by staff so you can¿¿¿t take as much as you want! The hotel was better than I had expected and perfect for staying for a city centre location close to pubs and clubs, and those looking for a good night out. However, I couldn¿¿¿t recommend it for any stay that doesn¿¿¿t involve having a drink.

Appalling experience
An absolute nightmare experience - booked last minute without researching - basically its a nightclub with rooms upstairs - poorly converted old building - if you had a duvet in the dj box the music couldn't be louder and its old bad music at that accurately reflecting the whole hotel philosophy - staff attitude equally as bad / dont care - arrogant female receptionist on check in gave incorrect parking information - night staff equally indifferent as they have clearly heard all these complaints before - a night on a park bench would have more to recommend than this dump - there would also be less chance of blind robbery.

very noisy
stayed there one nite in january location is good parking is no problem staff is friendly enough but after 11 pm till 4 am in the morning you better get the biggest earplugs in the world because shouting , car noise, beeping never stops.
