Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening!
Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening is is displayed on the elevator floor mat when you arrive. This means one of the staff members switches the floor mats out at Noon and Midnight every day. It is a nice touch and example of a customized experience which is what you get at W Los Angeles - Westwood. The valet greeted us right out front. Cost is $35 but it is LA. He actually told us we could go down the street and pay $10 but we wanted our car nearby for trips to In-N-Out Burger :) The first thing we noticed is the stairs to the lobby. It is a waterfall staircase. Really cool especially at night with backlighting. When we first checked in we only had a short wait at the front desk so we helped ourselves to the delicious citrus infused water. I love this stuff! After a few minutes we were greeted with a smile by a friendly young lady who upgrade us to a larger room without us even having to ask. The elevator ride up to the room was cool with ambient music and we immediately noticed the photo continuously capturing our photo and displaying. It made a normally boring elevator ride really fun. More details at http://www.makemeblink.com. The room was amazing with a pillow on the bed that read ¿¿¿Dream.¿¿¿ The room was stocked with a mini bar. No microwave though but it did not matter as there are tons of great restaurants within walking distance. UCLA campus is right there. The pool is kick ax with cabanas and there is a bar. Great place for a dip and/or to just chill. We just stayed for one night and it was wonderful. When we left the valet gave us 2 bottles of water free of charge. Will be back for sure. Great experience and top notch old fashioned customer service.

Judging a book by it's cover
The doormen at the W westwood is the reason the hotel is good. You are greeted and treated delightfully!The rooms are unique and it has a very homey feel to it. If you have any troubles the ladies at the front desk are very accomodating and can help you with anything you need. The price may be a bit high, but if you care about service it is worth every penny.

Sweet
This is a fun place to be. It's in the center of everything in Westwood. The bar scene is fun and the backyard or pool area of the property looks like a park/resort. The rooms are modern, fun and unique

Beautiful place to stay
Very polite staff. Concierge service was amazing! I would definately stay again. If you are ever in the Westwood Los Angeles area, this is the place to stay. A little pricey but worth every penny. Easy to get to areas of tourist attractions and bus routes. There were a lot of different places to eat of many cultures. I loved this hotel.

Not impressed with the daytime bartender!!!!
Went into the restaurant for a drink with my daughter. Not very busy, but a long wait. We asked the bartender what is his specialty drink and he said " he was caught off guard" and gave us a weird look. He came back 5 mins later to tell me he would have to whip cream for my drink and it would take some time. He suggested I change my drink to another one because it would be easier for him. When I said I didn't want to change my drink, he told me it would be a long wait because he was going to make other people's drinks first. I saw him make my drink and he didn't whip cream, just squired it from a bottle. Not service I expect from a W.
