Great Location
I usually request this hotel when on business trips as it is in a great location. Right smack in the middle of Sydney CBD and within walking distance to the office. It is also next to a train station which has shops & a supermarket on it's premises - very handy if you want to run down to buy drinks, etc. Check in was fast & efficient. The room & bathroom were small but very clean and comfortable. The pillows & bed were comfortable (not back breakingly soft and sunken like those in many other accommodation places). Room service + food were good and the breakfast buffet had a good spread of food. Definitely my hotel of choice for business trips.

EXPENSIVE WEEKEND GOUGE
Booked a 3 day weekend break which cost $540 for room only. Thats $180 per night.Price included a 10% discount for being a member of loyalty program. This was for room only.Far too much for a room only.Arrived early and told would not get entry until 1400hrs and it was exactly 1400hrs before we got into our room.We asked if we could get the special $2 breakfast deal as advertised, but told that we could get that if we paid an extra 25% on top of our room rate.Now let me see pay an extra $26 a day and get a $2 breakfast........mmmmm no thanks.Room was tiny and the photos on Travelodge on web page must have be photo shopped and wide angle to make it look far bigger than it actualy was.Had a look at Travelodge web prices for London accomodation and it is the middle of summer and holiday time there and the price ranged from $90 to $150 a night for centre of London, compared to winter time in Sydney and price gouge.Will not be staying here again and will not be using Travelodge again too expensive for what you get.

Great location
We booked an executive room for 4 nights during MayRoom was a good size although not large. Comfortable bed, good shower over bath.Very quiet as we were 18 floors up from the street.We had brerakfast each morning there were 3 choices. (full breakfast, continental breakfast or tea and toast plus cereal) Resonablely priced But at 10am when Breakfast is finished, thats exactly what it is FINISHED!! I've never seen such a mad hurry to clear things away. It was really quite thearical :-) to watch as we sipped our last coffee and read the paper.Yes we'd stay again

Genuine value for money
Sydney is an expensive city, so it was a real bonus to find this place which was such good value for money on a 4 day stop-over on our way to New Zealand. It was recommended by our Trail Finders tour guide, and was exactly as described. A big hotel (we were in room 1106 on the 11th floor of 21 floors), and not the most beautiful in the world, but we had a very clean, quiet, decent sized, air conditioned room with a MASSIVE bed that was extremely welcome after the long flight. We'd been a bit put off by the 'Travel Lodge' thing, thinking it'd be more of a like the cheap UK Travel Lodges, but it wasn't at all. It was really pretty decent. The full breakfast was Au$50 for two, which was quite expensive with the exchange rate and not for every day on our budget, but afforded us a first day breakfast of nice pastries, fruit and a big choice of cooked buffet that meant we skipped lunch (they did cheaper options including a breakfast on the run). The coffee got the nod from my partner. The location is spot on, although you are in the expensive district (couture a few streets over). The hotel is a short walk from the all-important harbour, the botanical gardens and the metro (there was a stop nearby the hotel) was useful to get around and into some of the less pricey areas. The staff were very accommodating, booking us a table at bills (fab restaurant) and supplying antiseptic wipes and plasters when my partner cut his finger. Nice place. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location, just fine hotel
This hotel is in a very good location for tourists we can't argue with that. However we found the hotel itself to be just ok. Having had a long flight from the uk we found the checking staff disinterested and not overly helpful. Our room was perfectly clean and acceptable but not the Shangri-La Hotel we had originally meant to be staying at. We found it to be expensive for what it was. We were told breakfast was included and despite our jet jag got up for it only to be told that we had to pay for it, certainly not worth the money!!Would we stay again...probably not
