Hidden, Affordable Gem in DC
If you're looking for a cool, boutique-type hotel in DC without the boutique prices or attitude -- the St Gregory is your ticket. Tremendous location in DC's West End, walkable to K Street, DuPont Circle and four Metro stops -- Farragut North, Farragut West, DuPont and Foggy Bottom.I stay there often when I'm stuck downtown - -friendly staff, well decorated clean rooms and a great bar. Last visit the hotel was sold out and I lucked out with the Presidential Suite - -complete with full kitchen, computer and printer and a patio and deck overlooking M Street - -nothing short of amazing. I'd recommend the hotel for visiting business people, lots of State Dept types or great weekend getway.

Excellent alternative to cookie-cutter chains
You know you're going to have a different experience when Marilyn Monroe greets you with her famous skirt-blowing pose. The hotel is in a great neighborhood, 2 blocks from Dupont Circle and Washington Square. Customer service is friendly and the hotel creates an intimate, unique experience to this business traveler.

A Really Really Nice Surprise
We booked this hotel using Hotwire (1st time). After booking we read reviews and thought we had made a mistake but we had a good price and decided to make the best of it since we were only staying one night. Well what a treat, from the entryway ( meet Marilyn in all her glory) to the customer service(front desk/doorman) and our beautiful room it was a really, really nice surprise! On par with other 4 or 5 star hotels we have stayed. It made our stay in DC one of the best ever! Will definitely recommend and stay again. We used taxis to get around and felt the hotel is in great location.

Clean and Nice, Not Luxury
We were under the impression that this was something of a luxury hotel. While it is nice and clean, it is not luxury. It is a standard hotel with super staff and comfortable rooms. We slept well. I would stay here again. It is in a good location, at a 5-10 minute walk to DuPont Circle's metro station but not in the middle of everything.

Nice, clean hotel
I stayed here over a weekend with my boyfriend for a wedding we were attending in the area and we were happy with the stay. It's a nice, clean hotel. It's not particularly modern or special but it definitely served it's purpose! Beds were also pretty comfy. It is a 5 minute walk from Dupont Circle as well as some restaurants and bars and a 5 minute walk from the Metro so we were able to get to Nationals Park easily for a game (in about 20min). The hotel itself seems to be in more of a business district but if you walk a couple of blocks, you're already out of it, and it's pretty quiet on the weekends since it's mostly corporate which is nice. Closeby to some lovely little neighborhood-y spots.
