Great!
We checked-in yesterday one of their Suites with my friends..Party all night long!! the Club Bistro is Fantastic! definitely going back again...food was delicious! accept one thing! cups outside is waiting for you! if you're driving drinking! thats its you're done! I made reservations for my bday in September. Party again! Overall! Great Hotel to stay! Buffet on Sunday! Yummy!

It would get 5 stars if it was closer to the Airport.
The Pros:The Hotel offers 'Distress rates' for airline passengers who's flights are cancelled.The Buffet Breakfast is good but with limited variety, Cost around $16There is wifi and you will get a password at the front deskThe also give you a complimentary bottle of water if you ask for, at the front deskNice rooms.The Cons:It's not the closest to the San Francisco Airport.

Noisy
Ended up at this hotel due to a flight cancellation. The room itself was clean and normal standard. I asked specifically for a quiet room, but got one which was next to the highway. Came in late and didn't bother to go back and change room, as I thought traffic would cease during night. It didn't, so I didn't get much sleep. Had a late snack in the sports bar, which was better than OK and yhe service was very friendly. Shuttle service worked nicely.

Not good
So the only things I really need in an airport hotel are a quick shuttle service and a good night's sleep. I got neither. After a missed flight, United gave me a voucher for the Crowne Plaza and said to go outside SFO Terminal 1 to the Hotel Shuttle stop and wait for the shuttle to come. When, after 45 minutes, the shuttle still hadn't arrived but every other hotel's shuttle had come through two times, I finally called the hotel. I was told that they only send a shuttle out when you call. Hmmm. United didn't tell me that. The hotel's website didn't tell me that. The voucher didn't state that. All the other hotels make the rounds automatically There was no sign up either. So after I called, they picked me up. Total time from getting the voucher to arriving at the hotel: an hour and 15 minutes. Not cool when I was already tired. Check in was fast. Then I went to the room. An eyelash was in the sink. And a long hair was on the bathroom counter. Neither was mine. Not sure how housekeeping missed those? No matter, I was tired and went to sleep.At least I tried to sleep. The toilet would run loudly every so often. Not sure how often, but it woke me up every time. I tried jiggling the handle and flushing it. Nope - still kept running loudly. Even with the bathroom door closed it was noisy. The clock alarm in the room had been on and set to midnight. I didn't notice when I went to sleep. Yet, it went off right at midnight. And then there was the highway noise. And the ice maker in the hallway. They had a nice aromatheapy package in the room, to help you relax/sleep. It didn't work. I haven't slept that badly in years. NOT what I needed with a 7:20am flight. And then the shuttle driver to the airport questioned me when I said that I wanted United Terminal 1. He insisted that United was only T3. Um, no - they have several gates in T1 right now. I made him drop me at T1, and it was perfect. T3 would have been way out of my way. So thank you United for the free room, but next time I am at SFO and have a flight cancelled, I will politely decline any voucher for the Crowne Plaza, walk outside, jump in the first shuttle I see, and try whatever hotel that is. I would rather pay to stay elsewhere than stay here for free again.

what a wonderful girls weekend!
My friend and I had an absoutly amazing stay!, The facilities are spotless and the staff was fabulous! Not only did our trip experience totally enhance the purpose of our trip to see her son compete at the Stanford invitational, it also turned out to be a wonderful girls weekend due to the wonderful Crowne Plaza!
