Great Service
I was happy with my stay here - I stayed for 2 nights early May. Service was very efficient and very friendly. The food was delicious with a good choice and well priced (also met one of our groups vegetarian needs very well).Breakfast was good.The rooms - no they are not new but they are very adequate and compared to other hotels much cleaner.The bed was comfortable.The shower is over a bath, although the room is tight in size the bathroom is clean and the shower itself had good pressure.My only criticism is I cannot believe in this day and age WiFi is charged! It is free in most of Asia and the Middle East - Australia needs to catch up!

Excellent location, good value
Very central, easy 10 mins walk to either Darling Harbour or Circular Quays, and 5 mins from train station.Clean and comfortable. Decor a bit dated (unchanged from previous visit about 9 yrs ago!), but adequate. Rooms with street views are noisy. Rooms at back have no view at all but are quieter.Only issue is that wifi is only available in lobby, limited to 15 mins (free). Should be free and in available in the rooms these days.

Great location!
Lousy service! Slow check-in on arrival despite no queue. No concierge. Not told i had to pay cash for room service until i started eating my meal, then had calls from room service despite signing for room service & giving $100 deposit at pre-paid check-in. Meal was ruined by phone calls from room service demanding cash. Will never use Travel Lodge again. I give it 2 stars.

Nothing special but it's clean and comfortable and central. It's not got any wow factor, just functional. Great location in the CBD and underground parking for 35 AUD which is handy.Room had no view at all which was a shame

Very noisy
We recently stayed at this hotel.Our room was on the 7th floor overlooking York Street.The room was very noisy...traffic sounded like it was just outside the window, there were leaky water noises in the wall intermittently through the night and then street sweepers were loud early hours in the morning.Both being light sleepers needless to say we were very tired the next morning.The rooms were ok, a bit dated with cracked tiles and paint peeling in the bathroom, but clean.The buffet breakfast was "buy one get one free" and was satisfactory , very basic...i wouldn't like to have paid full price.The location is great, close to the train and circular quay.
