Just average
We stayed at this casino while visiting friends nearby. It was ok but we expected a better experience. What made it average...We pulled into the parking area on Thursday and all the spaces were full except the valet parking. The valet area took up about half the parking spaces and it was wide open with a lot of spaces. On Thurs. nights and more than likely thru the week days, more spaces should have been open for regular parking. Check in was ok, people up front we're polite. Went to the room, first thing we noticed in the room was an ash tray. It was late, we were too tired to asked to be moved, the room stank just a little bit. Come on Aliante, placing us in a smoking room as a default room, not cool. WIFI...no freebie here, pay to sign in. First hotel we have stayed in in several years where WIFI was not free..we felt nickel and dimed. Will we come back when we are in town visiting friends, probably not. We just did not feel welcome at this place. The breakfast buffet not good at all. Some of the food we selected must have been sitting out for a long time...cold eggs Benedict, pumpkin pie with dry edges where i it had been sliced..not good.

Not your typical Vegas get away
NOTE:This is an updated reviewWe are in our 30's and like it quiet and peaceful that is why we chose this hotel. I was skeptical at first on what to expect at this hotel, but we left content. Here are our pros and cons:PROS:- Clean room, lobby, pool area and restrooms- Customer service was almost excellent except (see the one of the CONS)- It's quiet and not crowded- Parking was easy and plenty- They have a bingo hall + it is non-smoking + it's paper only (I LOVE THIS)- They have a movie theater- They have a handful of fast food choices- Buffet was affordable, thus the long lines. Lucky for us, since we are guests of the hotel, I guess, we only had to wait for a little over 5 minutes to be seated. Servers were very nice and work hard. - Free regular coffee and discounted coffee were offered (LOVE IT!)- The smell of smoke was to a minimal compared to other casinos- They seem to care about their guests¿¿¿ experience by following up with an emailCONS: - When I first called to confirm my reservation and asked for a non-smoking room, I was told that they are fully-booked, and I was given 2-beds (we are a couple). I tried again on a different day and finally a nice, helpful lady, was able to book a (magically became available) non-smoking, king-sized bed for me, but everything was verbal. So I did my research and was able to get the name and email address of Michelle Garcia who I sent an email to commend the helpful employee and to ask for a confirmation of the non-smoking room. I didn¿¿¿t read her reply until I got back to LA as I sent Michelle my email via my work email and I DON¿¿¿T DO WORK WHEN I¿¿¿M NOT AT WORK. I just hoped that Aliante could reply back to inquiries within 3 business days. - We are aware that this is very far from strip, from anything-- but didn't realized how very isolated the location is. One night after coming from a show at the strip, we drove around the hotel area to find something to eat, and everything is closed -- before10pm, in Las Vegas! The only options for meal inside the hotel were Johnny Rockets and TGIF.- When we tried to grab drinks at the sports lounge, we waited for about 10 minutes for the bartender to come and ask us for our order, but she never came. She was very busy talking to/flirting with other customers. She never even looked around to check the other customers. She didn't even notice us left. - Pool closes too early. Pool was very small (photos were very deceiving) that you are rubbing elbows with obnoxious, rambunctious kids (no fault of the hotel of course).- This hotel was dead. Most of the people who come here are locals. When we were there, about 75% of the people are 40 yrs. and older.- Check out is noon, but at around 9am, our doorbell was rung by the housekeeper. My bf and I looked and looked for a DND sign the night before but did not find any. We planned on getting up at 10.30 because of our 2pm flight, but we did not expect someone waking us up at 9am! If there was - The only activities are bingo and slot machines. Cards games were scarce, the roulette was not happening at all and there was nothing to do after 9pm aside from my beloved bingo.- My bf and I probably spent more than $1000 between bingo, slots and sports betting and checked our rewards, and we only got $1 for it, very weird.- The view of our hotel was All in all, it wasn't a bad experience but would I go back? Hmmm, it depends if I get a good deal. My bf was okay to go back because he likes how relaxing it was to finally be in Vegas but be away from the crowd and madness. I would come back here to play bingo if they remain non-smoking, affordable and PAPER ONLY. If you like a nice, quiet and relaxing get-away, I recommend this hotel. But if you like to party and experience crazy Vegas, go somewhere else.

Would rather stay on the strip.
This place is nothing fancy and would definitely not stay here again. The room we received is very clean and nice but our view from the 3rd floor was the roof. If someone was on the roof looking in we would have been face to face. Now I know someone is going to get those rooms but you never want it to be you. So when it is it sucks. The location was no surprise to us as we knew it was far from the strip, but we gave it a shot and didn't like being that far away. We asked the front desk what time the pool was open and the lady at the front desk said 8am til 4pm. But upon arrival at 805 ready to go we were told 9am. That was frustrating to say the least and also the pool closing so early was disappointing. Parking was a joke because the parking in front of the main entrance has two rows which were always full and the valet parking has three rows which were always empty. It would be nice if they were able to adapt to the needs of the guests by shifting the amount of open and valet parking. The beds I felt were comfortable but everyone has different needs. So I would recommend this place if you want to stay in the the area but if downtown Las Vegas is what your main focus is find somewhere else.

Very Nice Resort......Needs much better customer service.
I normally only try to post positive reviews, and the establishments with poor customer service I avoid doing business with again, but I think this hotel is a diamond in rough. With a little bit of management/personnel restructuring this could be without a doubt a great resort. I checked in on 5/5/13, which was the day after a large Supercross event. I was told they were completely sold out (which from other reviews, seems to be the standard protocol) and I could not check in early, I travel frequently and I completely understand this during large events, until a couple walked up to the host next to us and got to check into their Deluxe king room which is what we had booked. The girl at the counter said that must have been the only room that had gotten cleaned and was available; I asked how that was possible since we were there 10 minutes before them. Then she offered to call us when the next room was available, no call was ever made.Rather than waste time, we checked our bags with a bellman that really didn't seem eager to be working and was constantly on his phone and not very personable. We walk the Casino which was very clean, security and table game personnel were very friendly and very informative of the hotels functions going on daily. By the way, if it¿¿¿s your first time here sign up for a player¿¿¿s card right away. They have great deals for 2 for 1 buffets and other player perks. As for the buffet, food was good but again the hostesses had no smile on their faces and not personable at all even when you greeted them with "Hi, how are you today?" One response was "wish I wasn't here". Ok, now onto the wait, it was a Sunday we got to brunch at 10am and wait in line for 45 minutes when there are 3 cashiers and at best half the dining area was occupied. We thought maybe it was because of the big event the day before, but unfortunately this was the same for all any of the days we were there. The servers we had the entire stay were very friendly and always checking to see if anything was needed. Both MRKT and Bistro 57 had a great food and great service. After brunch we made it to the tables, where to our surprise after the morning we had everyone from the Pit bosses to the dealers were very nice and polite and were very informative. After playing for a good portion of the day we were finally able to check in and get up to our room. The room was very nicely decorated, cozy, and a good size TV, and a nice shower/bathroom. The only thing that was odd was how dusty it got, I left my IPad out nightly and when waking up the next morning my Ipad was literally covered in dust. The next few days were nice, we spent them by the pool which is proportional for a resort this size. Very clean, very nice security/pool personnel. Hot tub and cabanas were very clean. One very pleasant experience was that every time we had seen someone from housekeeping, their greeting was very cordial and thanked us for staying at the Aliante. Also, they have a very nice fitness center, clean, all machines are well kept and over looks the pool. Here in lies the problem with some of their customer service, (which seems to be the common problem with most of the poor reviews). The day before we checked out I had talked to a girl at the front desk about checking out an hour later the next day (1pm), she said that would not be a problem and just to call in the morning and let them know you would like a late check out. We call the next morning and request an hour later check out, which they told us they could not accommodate because they were "sold out ¿¿¿and then put me on hold so he could ask his manager if he could extend it, and the answer was still "no". I found this to be odd, so I checked reservations online and it showed availability in a king deluxe, I also called reservations and asked if they had any availability and they had told me they had rooms readily available. We check out at 12, and I ask to talk to a manager. I had told her what had happened a

My favorite!!
The Aliante is my very favorite hotel in Vegas. I like the downstairs gift shop, casino and restaurants. I enjoy going on walk-about's and the staff seem to 'get-it' and they are very nice. They will chat with me if I'm bored :) and the pool is just gorgeous! The hot-tub is always open (Love that!) and the vibe there is a good vibe, for me. This hotel used to be a Station Casino (which was great because of the lower prices, but we love it so much we'll still book Aliante when we can).
