"Nice hotel in historical part of Zadar"
Excellent location downtown, everything is in walking distance - shops, restaurants, historical sides. Important - the harbor with local connections for ferry and fast boat traffic is around the corner, too. The hotel is new, the staff is nice and highly qualified, both service and breakfast are very good.

"Nice modern hotel in a quiet location"
Stayed for four nights end of season as a solo traveller. Hotel is very clean and modern. A small harbour is within easy walking distance downhill. I found it better to drive to the main part of the town which would have been quite a trek on foot. Good choice for breakfast (included) and a dinner service is available at extra cost, but I chose to use local restaurants.

"Modern with harbor views"
The hotel is a modern design in a traditional fishing village. Its rooms are sleekly designed and comfortable. Our balcony view was of the harbor and the sunset; beautiful. The village is walkable with many cafes and restaurants. The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent with quick, attentive service. The main desk staff were very friendly and spoke functional English. They seemed genuinely pleased that we were visiting and very proud of their country.

"Beautiful place in central Zadar"
The staff is extremely welcoming (speaks perfect English), the place is decorated with a lot of taste, has WiFi and air conditioning. Parking is however a big problem since the old town is forbidden to cars. Plan on spending a lot of money (coins only !) in parking if you manage to find a spot!

"Great place to stay"
This apartment is perfect for two people who are having a short stay in Zadar. We stayed for 5 days which worked well. The staff were absolutely lovely and really made it worth the stay. The apartment itself is right next to the bus station so is really easy to get to and has a great McDonald's right next door. It has an ensuite and kitchenette and an outside balcony with a drying rack. This was all really useful. We used the kitchenette to cook some meals and kept water bottles in the fridge so we didn't have to buy so many. The drying rack came in handy as well since we spent most days at the beach which is only a 5-10 min walk away! The old town is a bit further away (15-20mins) but still very feasible. The air conditioning was also fabulous (Im sure we would have died without it). We did end up making the place feel a bit dirty after 5 days but if it really bothers you, I'm sure you could ask for a dustpan and brush/mop.

"Absolutely breathtaking! Best five star resort "
We arrived 1st april 2017 and was upgraded. First of all we had a sea view, the sea was a ten second walk from our apartment. It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed and more. Included a dishwasher and washing machine. The resort was beautiful, the beach is a white flag so extremely clean. We live in Devon and have some amazing beaches but have never been to one like this before! A few amenities were closed, the infinity pool, the water sports, the shop and the ice cream palour but this is because the season hasnt offically started. This might bother some but for us it didnt. The indoor heated and open all hours. The sea itself is gorgeous. Plus because it was so quiet ( and I mean quiet, we were one of four families on the resort out of 750 in peak season), we were treated like vip guests. Would definitely recommend going in april/may time with the weather still being very hot. The guys in the pizzeria were awesome. The most genuine and nicest people ever. Gordon entertained my boys, showing them card tricks and making them laugh and nikola went above and beyond and even got the chef to make us some delicious cakes. We definitely picked the best place to go too with the most amazing views and the nicest beach ever. Would highly recommend. We are going to renew our ten year wedding vowels there, it was that amazing!

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Zizanj Island hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
