"Nice hotel with a smallish pool"
The hotel is conveniently located next to the skilift (ski in/out), has large and fairly new rooms with a double bed and a sofabed. Nice views but no balcony. We booked two double rooms for single use and only one side of the bed had been made up with cushions and a blanket which I found slightly odd. Food is good and the Christmas set menu was even excellent. Good wine list. The spa area is new and nice. Note that the pool is not suitable for swimming, really just a spa pool. The gym is tiny, has no natural light and is scarcly equipped to say the least. You can do some cardio but there are neither weights nor TRX. Overall a very nice hotel with extremely friendly staff which ticks most boxes for a good winter break.

"Great location. Very close to main cable car. "
Staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious with a balcony and a comfortable bed. The hotel has a good swimming pool, sauna and steam room which is great to relax in after a day on the slopes. I would happily stay again when next in St Anton.

"nice clean place"
I stayed here recently and booked a single room with Balcony. The balcony was minute so small but all up the room was clean and good very quiet, internet is temperamental I arrived on a public holiday and asked the reception staff if and what shops may be open? He wasn't very knowledgeable. you can walk to the centre in about 20 minutes I also had dinner at the restaurant and the waiting staff were a bit abrupt.

"Overall lovely experience!"
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel to the most: We loved the extremely delicious food :-), the very professional spa services and facilities (various types of massages & applications at reasonable prices, and 4 saunas!!), the nice and cosy atmosphere, and the (mostly) very engaged, friendly and helpful staff. The location of the hotel is ideal: away from the center of the town of Mittelberg and it's busy main street, but well connected to the bus line into town and to other places in the valley, with a bus stop right in front of the door for those who would like to take a break from driving. Had there been snow, a slope and ski lift would have been right next door. The only (minor) aspect which we would have preferred to be handled differently is what we perceived as a quite rigid seating policy during breakfast and dinner, i.e., parties of guests are assigned pre-determined tables for the duration of their stay. People who have not been lucky to be assigned to window tables never get to enjoy the wonderful mountain views out of the dining room windows at breakfast and dinner times, even if those who had been sitting there before had already left. In addition, this practice also inhibits opportunities to meet (in the dining room) fellow guests other than those who have once been assigned to sit next to you. It might be worthwhile for management to re-consider this practice in favor of more flexible options (f.e.first come-first-served basis, and multiple use of same tables)

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
