This hotel is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are absolutely immaculate and the decor is beautiful. The king sized bed is so comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Upon check in I had a very helpful member of staff show me to my room, helped me connect to the wifi, told me about room service, how to get to the local village via the hotel shuttle and everything else that I needed to know. The staff were so helpful and had very good English so it was much easier to communicate than at some of the other hotels I have stayed at. The grounds are superb. The pool is big and it was virtually empty every day during my stay (August). The hotel is right on the beach. The only downfall about this hotel is that there isn't much to do nearby. The hotel itself has a buffet restaurant (Colours) and the food here isn't great. The dinner buffet was quite poor and overpriced the breakfast buffet slightly better. the other option is the restaurant by the pool (Pad Thai). I ordered a 3 course meal here which had to be cancelled due to a thunderstorm so my only option was to eat at Colours - but that's my fault for coming during the rainy season. It is easy enough to get to the local village as the hotel provides a free shuttle service to the village and back at various times throughout the day and there are plenty of restaurants and shops here - it takes about 15 minutes in the minivan. This hotel is perfect for a short break. I stayed here 3 nights. Bring mosquito repellant!

"Beautiful Hotel"
The hotel was gorgeous and peaceful. I had a great time just relaxing and playing in my private pool. The food was good, I thought the Thai restaurant was ok, nothing special though. The Italian restaurant was really good and a lot to choose from on the menu.

"Good location for the local area"
We stayed for 2 weeks here and really enjoyed the room and the locale. Bingo restaurant is just two minutes walk and serves excellent thai food for a very good price all night. Mars bar up the road is and excellent bar in the evenings and e local market is just across the road. The room is very nice, the only thing i would change is the bed has no headboard and there is a line of bricks poking out of the wall at head level, a little precarious.

"Nice hotel close to the beach and the town"
Can highly recommend this hotel. We booked one of the individual cabins not right on the beach but just behind them and right next to the 3 long pools. We literally walked out of our cabin to the pool. It was a very short walk to the beach from there and we could still see the ocean from our cabin. We only ventured into town once and decided that the food at the hotel was of a similar price and better quality. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel meals and the variety offered. If I have one complaint, it was about the rubbish on the beach. Every morning we went out with a plastic bag to pick up bottles and other rubbish. Most distressing was the amount of styrofoam, which seemed to come from floats - used on the boats I guess. But so much of it was in tiny little pieces and I could only imagine the effect on the marine life from eating it. The beach seemed very healthy, with lots of little crabs scurrying out of sight, so we had no qualms about swimming in the water. The resort staff do a wonderful job keeping the resort grounds clean - could they not go out twice a day and pick up the rubbish from the beach? I know this is not just a problem at the Moracea Resort, and I urge all the hotels along the beach to pick up the litter on the beaches. This would certainly add to the pleasure of the experience of staying in a resort in Thailand.

"Gorgeous room and pools, really let down by food."
Lovely welcoming and straight into our gorgeous room. Huge, clean, good decor, big bed and good shower, also seperate relaxation area. Grounds initially looked unkept but were being done as we were there and did look much better by the end of our 1wk stay. The hotel itself was quite far out from Khao Lak centre which the manager informed me was one of the reasons people chose the hotel on his reply to my initial check in review. Maybe, but its hard to tell from a map so worth pointing out. Pool area lovely except for machinery going on all day for most of the days we were there due to renovations of beachfront apartments - did unfortunately dampen the relaxation element of the area. Handy minibuses into the centre and local market at a reasonable but only a few starting at 1pm which wasnt the most convenient but they were happy to ring for a taxi as an alternate. Biggest let down -why I wouldnt recommend- was the food. On arrival we were told we'd have to pay 350 Baht, around £8 each per day for breakfast adding £112 to our room cost. Given the location we figured we had no choice. After 2 days we cancelled it as gone off milk on the first day and we saw anta on and around the food both days. We were refunded upon check out after complaining which I did appreciate. We bought food from the town for breakfast in the room instead. Lunch and dinner we had were also a let down with being served nuts after informing the waiter in Thai I was allergic! Beautiful hotel, poor food.

"Memorable honeymoon stay. Phenomenal service!!!"
We just completed 5 nights at Tge Sarojin and I cannot say enough good things about this resort!! From the moment you walk in you are greater with true Thaihospitality and are their number one priority for the entire duration of the stay. Since we were on our honeymoon we were greeted with a bathtub full of roses and candles and a bottle of chilled sparkling wine. Morning breakfast is a lacarte and you can order as much as you like. We tried a number of things but I highly recommend the corn fritters... Incredible! Dining the onsite restaurants is also very good and service is top notch. Beach is nice but I would say there is quite a bit of garbage at times which they do their best to clean. I was told since its monsoon season this normally happens. Also watch out for the jellyfish in the water. Overall incredible and memorable experience. I highly recommend staying here for true luxury, relaxation and the best service a resort has to offer with truly happy staff! Thanks Satojin and hope to visit again one day :) Toronto, Canada

"Convienent to Baech and Town"
An easy walk to the beach (,2 minutes) nice long beach, walk the other way to town main street 5 minutes. The hotel is open ,clean nice large rooms. The room fridge is empty but easy to put your own drinks in . The staff's comprehension of English in this far away end of Thailand is lacking and at times frustrating. ( I dont speak any Thai) Good value for money Things are very quiet in this area

"Nice exterior amenities but room was disappointing"
I stayed for 1 night at the Suwan in December 2014. The pluses -- nice pool with adjoining hot tub, great location on the beach, excellent buffet style complimentary breakfast with made-to-order omelets in an outdoor setting near the beach. The minuses -- my room smelled musty when I walked in and had a dim look even with all the lights on. The shower water was only hot for about a minute and didn't drain properly so there was standing water in the basin throughout my stay. The room was on the ground floor looking out onto a vacant dirt lot. I recommend inquiring about the room before booking but otherwise enjoyed the external amenities.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Takua Pa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Takua Pa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
