Great location, quiet, calm and nice breakfast. Highly recommend renting out the woodfire sauna. There is a trap door in the sauna that gives you a private access into the lake without having to go outside.

The only choice in Soderfors and it's a good one..

Wow...interesting place! It's an old Manor from the 1750's. Soderfors is quiet at night - carpets seem to roll up around 7PM. We arrived at 10PM, starved, and ended up drinking water and having a nice dinner of salt and pepper cashews and beef jerky since the advertised hotel bar and restaurant also follows the local schedule. We were the only guests - it was so quiet and empty that it felt a bit like the setting for a summer camp horror movie. All that said, super convenient for the business we had in the area but Soderfors is a bit of the beaten path. Beautiful place though, just plan ahead. They claim the hotel is haunted. I'd have to agree after hearing mysterious door openings and closings. Comfortable room, and the only choice in Soderfors.

Vi bodde en natt i en svit dÀr vi sov fem personer. Hotellet Àr nyrenoverat och frÀscht med mÄnga gamla detaljer bevarade. Fina omgivningar. Frukosten var helt ok med bl.a. nybakat bröd och mÄnga pÄlÀgg. Kanske kunde satsa pÄ nÄgon mer sötsak till kaffet.
