Livemax Resort Shiretoko Seafront
Stayed in the top floor suite for 3 days and found every penny worth. Great service, great room and great views The only drawback is the distance to Rausu. We did not have a car, but the front desk helped in every possible way for taxi, buses.

The hotel was typical rural Japanese, the showers are shared in the onsen area (no en suite). Breakfast was served to you but was really typical Japanese (don't expect western food here).

This was a bit expensive for us, especially as it is a hostel and a bit out of town (20 min walk), but it was actually very nice indeed. Kinkiyu Hotel
It was close to the national park. I loved the vibe of the small town, rooms were dated but clean. Added to the ambience of the town. The onsen was nice. Parking was easy. Close walk to everything.
