"In the right spot"
Very good location. Easy access to the main attaction, the Abbey. The only problem was at arrival. I think there should be an explanation, when we book the hotel, of how we should proceed at arrival. There was no explanation of what we had to do and because we arrived late there was nobody there to help us and although I had called in the morning they didn't explain anything to us. The hotel should be oriented to make this arrival procedure clear.

"Nice hotel, great location"
At first glance, I was wondered that this hotel was a little odd with all the pictures and ceramic cows everywhere but it's just a little quirky! The room I stayed in at the front of the hotel was large and had a great sized bathroom too. Breakfast was continental only but it had everything you'd want. I'd read the other reviews but forgot to get the code for the hotel before arriving. DONT FORGET THIS!! There was no internet or phone signal when I arrived at the barrier so I had to walk around randomly until I found the hotel. The shuttle bus is just over the round and it runs every 10 minutes to the mount. A great hotel in a perfect location.

"Convenient hotel to visit Mt. Saint Michel"
The hotel has a restaurant that offers all meals and cocktails. The breakfast buffet price is 9 euros (as of May 2017 - pretty good deal for the area). Mt. Saint Michel is visible from certain parts of the property, and you can walk there through open fields full of Blackface Sheep (30-45 min) or drive 5 minutes to park and take the shuttle. The abbey closes at 7pm (beautiful architecture and views!). The town has a lot of commerce most of which is closed after 7pm...perfect time to really enjoy the architecture. Shuttles to the parking lot run until 11pm.

"Very pleasant, inexpensive stay."
This is a very nice, no frills hotel. The room is a bit small, but perfectly fine for a one or two night stay, and the price was great. The shuttles to Mont St. Michel and Pontorson are right outside. There is a grocery/souvenir shop right next door, as are a number of restaurants. The location is very convenient, the rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. Highly recommended.

"Beautiful view - tired room"
The room needs revamping. The bed was comfortable, the faded prints, badly hung curtains, etc made the room feel old and worn out.. the view was great, the brief check in pleasant.

"Great holiday for any family with children"
After reading a number of less than complimentary reviews we were a little concerned about what we would find at Les Ormes but I have to say we were very pleased. It is true the apartment is a self catering unit rather than a hotel room as you may belief when booking but that said it was neat, tidy and had most of what you would expect (shower, toilet, kitchen area, bedroom and sofa bed) It did not a couple of items you may have expected such as a microwave and tea towels. You have full access to all of the activities (some cost extra) and swimming pools on site and the restaurant in the hotel is very good. Food for breakfast etc is readily available by buying from the shop onsite or doing a cheaper big shop in the nearby Super U in Dol de Bretagne. All in all decent accommodation in a site that has lots of activities and interesting places to visit around the area. One note that seems to have caused contention - You have to agree to clean your apartment properly at the end of your stay (brushes and mops provided) or pay 60 Euros for housekeeping to do it. Finally there is a 1 Euro per day per adult charge for local taxes.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
