"New hotel with 2 pools and 10 yards from the beach"
Excellent new hotel in Chania Crete. Two pools and 10 yards from the beach, great spa and gym facilities. Stayed in the loft apartment with hot tub balcony, plunge pool at the front door. Bed and shower excellent, loft lounge very comfortable. As with any new place there are some teething troubles but nothing we felt inhibited our stay and were to be expected. And no different from any established resort we have stayed. Staff were brilliant, took a keen interest in our stay, asked what else could be done to improve the experience. They also arranged snorkelling and diving trips (one by email as we were sightseeing) and any transport we required. Food options were good however the main restaurant is probably overpriced for the area. Really enjoyed our stay and will go again.

"Nice hotel but be careful with the rooms provided "
The hotel is really nice with really nice pools and everything you need to have a nice holiday. Just be careful with the room that is provided to you. My room with really noisy but I believe that is better rooms in the hotel, I guess I was just very unlucky. Besides that it's really good.

"It is not worth a 5* rating"
Having stayed in various 4* and 5* hotels, this one does not compare with its rating. The hotel rooms are dated with no in room facilities, the beds are the most uncomfortable I have slept in and the linens are full of stains, the bathroom was dimly lit and you can hardly see what you are doing let alone get a decent shave. The breakfast was much better as it catered for everyone, vegetarians and meat eaters with everything you could want for breakfast. I'm sure I read that it's adults only hotel and was surprised to see children everywhere. Don't get me wrong I love children and the hotel is good for families with young children because they provide enough facilities to keep the children entertained, why I was surprised at the adults only statement on the site (perhaps not at their busiest time). There are lots of restaurants for a long stretch of the road serving variety of foods. Easy and cheap bus ride into town from outside the hotel.

"Nice small, well run hotel conveniently located."
We were met by the very friendly and welcoming reception staff, who showed us to our room, which was very nicely appointed. It was a huge room with a very comfy bed, large walk in shower in the ensuite, a/c and a ceiling fan, large patio doors leading on to our generous decking area. Internet access was available in the room but was included in our package, otherwise it was available in the reception area. We had the bed and breakfast option but some rooms provide self catering. Housekeeping was excellent and beach towels were available every day. Hotel is very pretty and nicely laid out with lovely grounds. Although the hotel is small it is very clean and well maintained, with a small pool and nice open bar and social space. It's next to the road as most of the hotels and bars are in the area. However this was never a problem in the room although traffic noise was noticeable in the bar area. But - cross the road and walk down a short passageway and you reach the beautiful sandy beach. Perfect. The layout of the accommodation is such that many of the rooms are accessed by stairs which could be a potential problem, so would be worth requesting a ground floor room when booking if this is an issue. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Angela on reception was wonderful at suggesting places to visit or nice restaurants to try. Great place to stay and highly recommended.

"Beautiful, clean medium/small-sized hotel "
I stayed at Hotel Yakinthos for one week in April 2017 - my first time in Crete/Greece. The hotel is immaculate and beautifully presented with fresh flowers in the foyer and breakfast room. The pool, although small - is again immaculate and looks inviting for a dip - although it was a bit too cold for this in April. Sun loungers around the pool were relaxing. My room (ensuite, twin room) was very comfortable; with my own private balcony on the corner of the building. The only irritation was the noise from traffic - but it's not too bad and can't be helped - you get used to it! Beautiful interior styling - everything is white marble; clean, fresh and unfussy. The buffet breakfast was amazing - especially the large glass of fresh orange juice every morning. Greek fare such as yoghurt, feta, olives, tomatoes, tzatziki canapes as well as cereals, loads of fresh fruit, bread, toast, jam, honey, croissants, bacon and egg and omlette!! I may have put on some weight during my stay... The staff are all friendly, helpful and very professional with varying levels of English. I would love to return to stay here some day. Fridge/ice cube tray, safe, tv and hairdryer in my room were much appreciated too.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Nea Kydonia, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Nea Kydonia hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
