"Weekend city break"
Hotel was beautiful, very clean and modern interior. Room was a good size with mini bar, sea view and spacious bathroom. Towels, bathrobes, flip flops and toiletries waiting in the room. Breakfast buffet was huge!! Omlettes and pancakes cooked to order, cold meats freshly sliced and more pastries than you could ever want!! Spa was also included in the cost. It was a beautiful and relaxing spa that you can easily spend a few hours in. The hotel is a little out of town so nearby walking isn't really an option but the buses were very easy to use and stop very close to the hotel. Alternatively the hotel can book taxis for you or you can get taxis from the various taxi ranks throughout the town. Lots of lovely little cafes, restaurants and a lot of history to spend a couple of days walking and exploring.

"A Great Hotel - if you go during a certain period"
So this hotel had the potential to be lovely, and the staff were incredible. So helpful and kind. BUT one of the reasons we picked this hotel was for the facilities...we got there to find the pool was drained, the gazebo was closed and the shuttle bus to the beach was not running. Apparently, they only run during certain months but there had been no indication of this on either Expedia or the hotels actual website. A massive blow for us, as we were excited to have a pool and the walks back to the hotel from the beaches were long and painful. Add to the fact that the hotel provided airport transfers (which were advertised on the website when we first booked) didn't exist either, and we ended up essentially paying £100 more than planned on a holiday with less facilities than we were told we would have.

"February stay in Venice"
The hotel is easy to reach from the ferry stop. However, their route map online is incorrect as we ended up on the wrong square and had to cross 6 bridges with heavy luggage. Once we figured this out, it was actually a very short walk with two small bridges that are quite shallow. The rooms were decent but a little stuffy and old. Which is a little of the charm of Venice as well so not necessarily a bad experience. However, the bed and pillows need updating as these were so hard and flat that it was not really comfortable. I had to use 2 pillows to be more comfortable and that made them even harder. The other issue was the A/C. The heating was so high in the room that we felt like being in a sauna. The A/C didn't cool the room at all when you switched it to cooling so we ended up shutting it off and opening the windows to let the colder air in.

"Convenient location"
The hotel is right across from the train station. Granted the section of town is a bit anxiety producing, but we didn't go out at night. The hotel staff was very helpful and let us check on several hours early. They also stoked our luggage for several hours on the last day of our stay.

"Great location close to beach and town center"
We spent two weeks at this hotel - it was extremely conveniently located, an easy walk to the beach and town - 5 minutes! Comfortable rooms, wonderful staff, delicious breakfasts, nice amenities - rooftop pool and terrace, bike rental, beach towels and beach umbrella/chair rental. Lovely park/gardens next door. Not noisy despite proximity to train station, in fact, quieter than along the busy beach strip. Lots of nearby restaurants. Family friendly.Would definitely stay here again!

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
