"Wow this was a fantastic holiday"
What makes this place is the staff they go out of there way to make you feel at home from the minute you arrive to the helicopter ride out of there. The resort is great as well from the very clean rooms to the great food, the bar staff make a mean drink to and we had some really relaxing and deep tissue massages. The staff at all parts of the resort made it just that little bit more special. Highly recommend you put this on your bucket list.

"Excellent Experience! Highly recommended!"
My partner and I stayed at Likuliku for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Once you stepped on the island, you could feel the passion and happiness from the staffs, like welcoming by your family. Everyone greets you with ‘Bula’ and says ‘Vinaka’ to you. The choices of activities are various. We took a snorkeling trip, which was amazing. And the spa is a must-try! Food there was delicious not to mention the high quality of service. Thank you for all the Likuliku staffs for this amazing and wonderful experience!

"Wow! Beautiful, professional, friendly!"
My wife and I celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary at Tadrai Island Resort and we feel it was an absolutely perfect choice! They greeted us when we arrived with cheering as if we were celebrities. From the time we arrived until the time we left, it was clear to me that the only goal of the staff was to make our stay as perfect as possible. This is a very quiet and private resort with only a handful of couples checked in at any given time. So the staff goes out of their way to make sure that we as guests are always taken care of. We could ask for drinks and appetizers and they would hand deliver it to us in our private plunge pools. They decorated a fancy dinner for us on our anniversary night complete with a serenade from the staff singing to us! It was very romantic! On another day, we had lunch and private snorkeling on a beautiful sandy island a little ways from the resort. The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. If you like, the gourmet lunch and dinners are served chef-choice style based on what foods you indicate to them that you like. Basically, they take care of EVERYTHING and all you have to do is tell them what you'd like to do! The phrase of the day was "Relax, you're on Fiji time." We have never in the past received such world class treatment. We didn't want to leave. The activities director, meals and housekeeping staff, thank you for a unique and unforgettable experience!

"Amazing quiet beach get away"
Friendly staff, great beach and a very private getaway compared to bigger islands and food at the restaurant is better than most other resorts! The free activities are also a bonus along with the water and mosquito repellant provided in the rooms. Would suggest bringing own alcohol from duty free before travelling to Fiji and beach front bure is not necessary but beach view room is recommended.

"Excellent hotel food too expensive "
This is a great hotel. Food was great quality however as the menu was the same every night for 2 weeks of our holiday there was very little choice and variety in food. I have coeliacs disease and it was disappointed in the minimal gf choices. Food was extremely expensive and overpriced. And things which are free in other resorts such as snorkel hire were expensive at this resort. (Snorkel hire was $15f for one hour) however room and hotel facilities were excellent.

"Ups and downs but overall I couldn't be happier"
I'll start with the good: The staff: The staff at the resort are incredible. And that's a major understatement. They go out of their way to learn your name and say hello. In all staff are incredible. The dive team: I came as an inexperienced diver (10 dives) and left with 12 more dives and felt like I was a much better diver afterwards. Fletch, Krysta, and Lexi are very kind, very knowledgable, and extremely genuine people. I could not have asked for a better group to learn from. I would recommend this hostel solely based on those 3. The bad: I stayed in a 5 bed dormitory and I didn't expect much considering I'd be on an island for 7 days. The room was actually quite decent, with a/c. However, the bathrooms were not maintained. The bathroom door didn't close properly, the shower heads had hardly any pressure or really much water coming out at all, making it difficult to shower after diving. The cleanliness was the other issue. Nearly everyday we had to ask for toilet paper rolls. And I was unfortunate enough to have left with bed bug bites all over my body. This easily could have been from another traveler bringing them into the room as I had not gotten bitten until the last 2 nights of my stay there, but it was quite annoying and I had 2 sleepless nights. Other than the rooms, the rest of the hostel was clean and nice to stay in though. And I had only heard of one other person having bed bug issues. Overall: I have to recommend this place simply for the hospitality.

"Amazing stay"
I stayed in funky for 5 nights/ 6 days and I really enjoyed it! Yes I would recommend it to other travellers who hasn't too much budget. Funky has everything you need and your 're feeling like home since the first minute. Massage, pool, snorkel, yummy cocktails! Stuff was super friendly and really welcomed! I had a beachfront bure with my own bathroom, fan and big bed. A closet would' ve be nice but not something I would complain about:) make sure you get one of the first bures away from the noisy regenerator! Would totally come back!

Matamanoa Island is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Matamanoa Island, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Matamanoa Island hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
