"Secluded hotel on the cliff overlooking coral reef"
Great place for quite getaway. Staff were excellent and helpful at every need. The drive to hotel is on a dirt road. We made with little difficulty in small rental car. Snorkeling is first rate and literally right out you hotel room door. The food was good, you don't need to leave the property. A great relaxing trip after 4 night in Cabo.

"Family trip to beachside village."
We like to do activity based travel, and Palmas was a great home base to do this from. There is a great deal to do in the area, and the hotel is central to all of it. Fishing, ATV trips, hiking, mountain biking, diving/snorkeling, kite boarding and windsurfing are all available. We arranged fishing right at the hotel, and our 9 year old (a passionate angler) caught a Marlin. It was a dream come true for him - thanks Captain A! What we don't like is to drop into a resort and stay on premise for a week, and while Palmas has a lot to do on site, I'd recommend it most for people who like to get out as well. The multiple pools at the hotel are great and our kids enjoyed them and the beach on a daily basis. We ate breakfast at the hotel most days, and did lunch and dinner either out in the village or during an activity with supplies from Chapito's - the grocery store is a 5 minute walk away. We also like the fact that Los Barriles isn't overly touristy - it's the opposite of Cabo San Lucas. There are quite a few expats in the area, but it's still got a mellow local vibe, rather than being overrun with foreigners looking to party. Overall a highly recommended location for families wanting a local experience and a lot of fun things to do, and we will certainly return for more adventures.

"Lovely hotel on the beach"
We spent two weeks at the hotel and we had a great time; kiteboarding, windsurfing and biking. The hotel was great, the rooms are fairly basic, beds are comfortable and it was kept very clean and the housekeeping is great. The meals are good; breakfast has a choice of eggs, pancakes, toast etc, we had the Mexican lunch to go most days which gave us the flexibility to eat when we were ready, the dinners were good and food was plentiful. We met so many interesting people that really added to the experience. The staff at the hotel were always super friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time and we will be back next year.

"Very nice place to stay in Los Barriles"
This isn't really a "5 star" hotel, but considering the area and the nice folks who run it, it's better than a "4 star" hotel. The rooms were nice and spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious and clean, and the location is great. We had friends staying at Martin Verdugo's RV park across the street, so it was very convenient to stay at the Los Barriles Hotel. The rates were reasonable and payment could be either in U.S. cash, pesos, or credit card. I'd definitely recommend Los Barriles Hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Los Barriles is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Los Barriles, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Los Barriles hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
