"A scalding hot shower, at last! "
No, I didn't suffer burns from the shower, but I could have had I tried - and that's something that just wasn't possible at my last Kathmandu hotel and three previous places in India. KHH was a pleasant surprise - not exactly the Four Seasons but VERY good value for the money. The bed was good, linens clean and crisp, bathroom imaculate, and the heater/AC worked well. I can be pretty critical at times but the ONLY issue here was a small, cheap TV with bad reception. But who goes to Nepal to watch TV? I would definitely stay again.

"Lovely hotel; great place"
Hotel Tibet International was a great place to stay. It's in Boudha, the 'little Tibet' of Kathmandu, and is appointed in Tibetan furnishings. The rooms are clean, attractive, with aircon/heating as well as open-able windows, and gave us a great view over Kathmandu, They were also a welcome quiet retreat from the busy streets. Breakfast at the rooftop cafe was a great way to start the day, with a terrific view; good for getting bearings and hearing the early morning chants start at the stupa just down the road! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it.

"Comfortable Stay"
Great hotel in terms of comfort and cleanliness. However, porters were a bit rude and rush to take your bags without asking and expect tips. I have no problems carrying my bags and told them....but they wouldn't let go. Otherwise, no issues.

"Oasis in the middle of Kathmandu"
About half way from the airport to the hotel my wife and I looked at each other wondering what we had gotten ourselves into. Being typical Americans we weren't used to the chaos that surrounded our taxi; the masses of people, noise, dust and, by our way of thinking, crazy driving. We entered the small circular drive at the hotel and then went through the large wood doors and, almost miraculously, it all disappeared and we were in a totally different world. I'm not sure how, but there was no noise or dust, just a beautifully landscaped tranquil oasis in the middle of Kathmandu. We could not have been more pleased with the hotel. Everything; our room, the food, the grounds and especially the service was outstanding. I can't imagine there being a better place to stay in Kathmandu. Truly a great hotel.

An historic hotel, renovated lobby and garden area following the earthquake of 2015. Still lovely and my top choice for staying in Kathmandu.

"Great service and location"
Very friendly and helpful staff. About 7 minutes drive from airport when road is clear. Security guards have gone out of the way to find taxis for us, even walked us to the bus stop. Located across the road from Pasupatinath Temple. Good food at restaurant. Surrounded by shops and stalls for budget shopping. Bring your own electric kettle if you need one.

Kathmandu Valley is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kathmandu Valley, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kathmandu Valley hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
