"Makes you want to keep coming back!"
Our last night at Nepal during our 5 day trip was at Bhaktapur and it was nothing short of perfection. The credit goes to Shree & his team for their hospitality. From the tasteful interiors to the view of the himalayan range; this is the place to head for some R&R away from the bustling city. The rooms were decorated beautifully and were clean with a personal touch of traditional Nepali footwear as room slippers. We were served masala tea at the garden and opted to have breakfast in the rooftop with the gorgeous view. Our walk to the Bhaktapur heritage site took 20 minutes and Shree's wife helped us maneuver the winding roads while giving us the background story. But as our group got split, Shree came back to look for us which says alot about their sincerity. I plan on coming back to stay at this hotel and use Shree's services for hiking and tours in the future. Also, if you have one day to spend at Kathmandu, you're better off staying at Bhaktapur - its near to the airport and major sight seeing areas with view of the mountains.

Krishna House

"Lovely home-stay"
Arriving to Krishna House (KH) after a couple of days spent in Thamel, Kathmandu, one would find the tranquillity of KH as an amazing experience. Ajaya has been a very nice, attentive and knowledgeable host. He provides you with lots of information, advice, potential activities to consider and any other info you may think of. Within walking distance from Bhaktapur centre, KH is a perfect “base” for discovering the city and surrounding area. The room has been spacious and clean. You just need to mind your head when entering/exiting the door if you happen to be a taller person...:) You may only find a handful of tourist during the monsoon season who mainly visit this ancient city in a day trip from Kathmandu, thus missing out on great unconventional tourist attractions, such as hiking from nearby places easily accessible by local buses. Doing so you would bump into friendly locals, terraced rice fields, curious kids - consider having some pens handy for them. Little sign of the aftermath of last year´s earthquake in Kathmandu Valley, so it is encouraging to spend more days in Bhaktapur. I would definitely recommend Krishna House for accommodation option.

"A very comfortable and convenient guest house "
This is an excellent guest house .. very close to the centre of magical Bhaktapur but pretty quiet. Krishna and family are very friendly and super helpful and speak good English. The ensuite room I had was extremely clean and comfortable. The best thing is that part of the guest charge goes to support the home for disabled children that Krishna runs.

"Cozy place with awesome people"
I stayed there for two nights and really felt like home there. All the staff welcomed me warmly and I had some great conversations with them and the fellow guests also. They are also knowledgable about things to do around Bhaktapur and would be happy to arrange tours of you want. The rooms are super cute and clean. I always had hot water and electricity when I was there which is pretty rare in Nepal. It also close to Nagarkot and the airport if you want to avoid the chaotic Thamel. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone who is traveling to Bhaktapur or Kathmandu area!

It has a great atmosphere, phenomenal buffet-style home-cooked meals, and passion for customer satisfaction. Very clean, traditionally decorated, and no sign of any earthquake damage. Bhaktapur is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Bhaktapur, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Bhaktapur hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
