Excellent hotel. Very good staff, lovely helpful attitude. Gym is not very well equipped but it is a gym! Pool is not heated, so prepare for a shock! Nice welcoming staff on reception, chamber maids, bar and restaurant.

From the minute we arrived at the airport to the minute we sadly departed we were made so very welcome.
Our transfer to the Lodge was seemless. A warm welcome with dancing & singing on the Jetty made us feel very special and we knew then that this was a magical place.
The lodge rooms are right on the water and situated perfectly to watch the magnificent sunsets. Privacy is respected.
The peninsula is very quiet and therefore allows total relaxation. You can do as much or as little as you want with the staff happy to organise and assist whenever required. We ate too much but it was hard not too as the food overall was fresh and delicious. Eating by candelight on the terrace or Jetty overlooking the water was delightful and romantic. The chef always willing to please.
Facilities in the main Lodge area provide an alternative and spacious area to relax with a TV, Games, Books and wifi (if you need to keep in touch!!). Fresh pool towels are provided on the Lodge terrace and the rooms were cleaned and refreshed every day.

"Loved this hotel. Absolutely beautiful setting - "
Absolutely beautiful setting right on the beach - a bit further out of town than I anticipated, but they were great about helping us get into town to explore. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful... seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were comfortable and enjoyed ourselves. The lodges themselves are comfortable and well kept.

We stayed 7 days at Casa Barry. We loved watching the local fishermen coming in with their catch at the end of the day. Small, very colourful OLD wooden boats - the fish that was caught and carried inside the boat was quite incredible. This daily ritual (as long as it was calm enough to put to sea) occurred just below Casa Barry. You could watch from the wooden deck, or get more involved and wander down to see and appreciate the people and their "catch".
Good swimming and walking the beach.
The Local Market, just down the beach, sells fresh fruit and vegetables and a very good selection of artifacts and beautiful shells.
The Megafauna Research Centre is based at Casa Barry. Informative, extremely interesting talks are presented several times a week by the young scientists who are researching the Giant Manta Ray and the Whale Shark at this Centre. Enjoyed these talks very much.
We liked the staff enormously. Everyone was very friendly, always helpful and their smiling welcome each day was a great way to start the day.
