This is a great hotel to visit Kiev.. It is located across from the river but separated by a highway so you have to walk little bit (about 300 yards) to cross the street.. Along the river there are many cafes/bars/restaurants.. The main tourist attractions of Kiev are not very far either but they are hard to walk to because you must climb up a steep hill. Luckily there is a short tram service just takes you to the top of the hill (costs about 10 cents).. I stayed in a junior suit which was nicely decorated and quite big..

The differentiating factor to me when going somewhere for the first time is the staff. How well do they engage you, understand your needs, and most of all, execute on meeting those needs so that your experience is memorable?
The Premier Palace hit a home run in my book. When my luggage was delayed, they ensured I had what I needed until the luggage caught up with me. When I requested information, not only did they provide it, they also offered logistics to ensure I could get where I needed to go. Nearly everyone spoke good English, and I appreciated the vibe I received of being welcome in their city.
In addition, their cuisine was exemplary. I am a somewhat picky eater, yet every single item I tried on the menu was delicious. The dining and social atmosphere were great as well. One of several reasons this hotel is 5 star rated.
The hotel is in the middle of Kiev. It is beautiful and romantic, much like a less expensive version of Paris (sans attitude). There are other quality hotels in Kiev, but my view is if you want to experience Kiev, with its history, depth, and a facility with a plethora of services, you have got to give the Preimer Palace a go.
