"Very nice place for snorkeling and diving. "
* You must always keep in mind this is the Philippines and certain luxuries come at a premium. You also need to keep in mind the quirks of being in a country like the Philippines. All things are relative when traveling. I live and work part of the year in the Philippines and Batangas is a great because it can be a short vacation trip without flying. Planet Dive was a new resort to me and was very pleased with location and atmosphere. Like a lot of reasonably affordable places in the Philippines it has some quirks but relative to other places I stayed Planet Dive had few. Overall very happy with Planet Dive Like a lot of resorts in the area they are right on the beach. For those not diving you can go a couple meters into the water and you are swimming with coral and fish. For the diver you can dive by the resort or take a boat further out. A lot of options for the underwater explorer of all skill levels. I would not say this reef in front of the resort is the best, but it is good and worth the time. I can not speak for the diving because I have not gone in the area yet, but I have heard it is even better the the resort reef. The resort itself had many rooms scattered over the property to adds the the level of privacy. The dining area is great, with a nice view and amazing Filipino food. They use local coffee from Batangas which is perfect in the morning. Not a white sand beach and this is for people that want to snorkel or dive. Allow plenty of time for travel, it is the

"A dive resort that didn't have enough dive masters"
We came to Anilao because my nieces and nephews wanted to try diving. I chose Aiyanar because it was one of the most highly rated resorts in the area. Imagine our disappointment when we were told that we couldn't go diving because their dive masters were already fully booked. The resort staff made no effort to find free-lance dive masters from the other resorts around the area to accomodate our request. (in fact, they told me the bad news only when I followed-up our booking at 7 pm, despite my having made my request at 3 pm.) I ended up frantically having to make my own calls that night, and fortunately was able to find a nearby dive resort that could accomodate our request for the kids to do introductory dives. The rooms were excellent (although there wasn't any shampoo in one of the four rooms that we had booked), and the service was generally very excellent. But our weekend vacation was almost spoiled because we almost weren't able to go diving. What would then have been the point of going to a dive resort?

"Stay at King Solomon Resort Mabini vis Matangas Ph"
Good points are the view, the attached wharf pontoon and the meals.. Reasonable price but the resort makes money out of diving.. Friendly staff and videoke free as is wi fi Casual relaxed atmosphere - once staff are on duty they do a great job - very casual as well Rooms are not refurbished everyday and have to ask for new towels each day Long way from beaches and cafes and markets of Mabini, 80 pesos in tricycle, rocks and no beach. Enjoyed the stay though for 2 nights and didnt dive

Mabini is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mabini, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mabini hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
