"Small but great"
Excellent adults only resort with great views over Erakor Lagoon; even my garden apartment had a partial lagoon view. The restaurant is pricey and the dinner servings are huge, but excellent quality and service. My apartment backed onto the road so there was some noise but not much you can do about that, or the roosters! The 3 main pools looked good but my large plunge pool was all I needed. Great place for R&R and I'll be back....

Arrived early and were able to leave luggage whilst room prepared. Stayed 2 nights at start of holiday so we saw town and hired car- chose of 4 hire companies close-by. Atm machine at nearby supermarkets. Great views from the balcony. Felt secure with security man at entrance. Lovely breakfast next to pool. Spent last night at motel before flight home. Breakfast brought to our room. Large unit for 4 - comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Excellent value.

"Close to town . "
I was disappointed this time . No WIFI in rooms. Very expensive food but this is the same all over Vanuatu . Staff were lovely though. However, Vanuatu is too expensive now because of the cruises .

"Great clean place to retreat to!"
Stayed 6 nights, Positives: -House keeping were fantastic, friendly & left the appartment spotless every day. - Appartments very well layed out and spacious with nice clean plunge pools - reception staff provided great very helpful and quick service which is hard to find in Vanuatu - wifi in our room was very good and they have also included access to 700 movies, doco's, tv shows etc - the managers Tom and Becky are good hands on managers, very welcoming to feedback and always looking to improve things to make this lovely place even better - Sammy the taxi driver was great - there are no small children or babies allowed to stay here so there is lots of peace and quiet - would stay again Development opportunities: - the floor of the tennis court is made up of annoying plastic/rubbery squares that effect the way the ball bounces etc. the standard carpet or even clay floored court would be much better. - the location is 15mins walk, 5mins drive from main town. Getting a bus at times can be difficult as there are no standard bus roots. taxi drivers that are there mon-fri rip all the guests off Charing high prices in comparison to other drivers. Barry is the worst one & is the leader so if you want to use a different driver and he's around you can't because he's at the top of the pecking order. plays dumb saying he has no change and will pay u back & never dose (other guests also complained of this) . As guests paying $400 a night should have free shuttle within 20min radious.

"A beautiful location overlooking Port Vila harbour"
This is our 4th visit to this delightful little resort on the shore of Fatumaru bay. We have visited Vanuatu numerous times and stayed in a variety of resorts but this is easily our favourite. It's close to town, the staff are delightful and we love the location. Would we come back again? Yes, of course! The people here are so friendly as are all the local population and you feel very welcome wherever you go! A great spot for couples.

"Amazing Resort"
Great resort in a prime location only 3 minute ferry to Port Vila. Food was delicious on the island. I loved that all activities were included free of charge (e.g snorkel hire). Alcohol was a little pricey... but that was the only downfall. Staff were amazing... super friendly and accommodating!! Would highly recommend!!!

"Overall experience"
Room was good, walls are thin so expect to hear neighbours talking muffled. Also tiles on the floor make it loud when people above are walking around or drop something. Be sure to check your room bill at the end of the stay. We where charged more for things we had paid for by cash, and some things wherent taken off the bill for things we didnt end up doing ie a massage. Keep a record of everything you put on your room bill. Some of the service was slow, orders getting forgotten or full charge for cocktails even during cocktails even tho I ordered within the Happy hour prices. The staff where every friendly and helpful when organising tours, drivers and information. The massages are amazing and highly recommend getting one. Location was good = quick 10min walk into the main centre. As 2 females (mother and daughter) we where adviced from hotel staff not to walk back from town any later then 9 on a friday, saturday, or sunday due to the locals having a drink at the local bar around the corner from the hotel. Overall I will be staying in this hotel again it was a very satisfactory hotel.

"Beautiful and relaxing garden villa"
We really enjoy our stay in vila chaumieres. The place it's close to town but in a really quiet and relaxing area. It's beautiful how the room(very private) are immersed in a jungle of flowers. The restaurant was great, we really enjoyed the tropical breakfast, the coffe it's execelent and the fried rice was great too. Ursula, the owner, was really kind and showed us on a map all the beautiful places to suit in efate. We will be back for sure, Pietro and Kana

"A relaxing week"
The resort was not busy when we were there so it was easy to get service. Room was fine although perhaps a little too much furniture in it for the room's size - could do without at least 1 of the tables (we were in a Lagoon view room). No complaints about the staff or the accessibility to all parts of the resort. Only issue was the weather which was very windy, cloudy and very wet at times (but it was the wet season!). This didn't stop us getting out when we wanted, or from sleeping / reading books or swimming in the pool or lagoon. All in all we got what we wanted - a relaxing time after a hectic year.

Efate is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Efate, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Efate hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
