"Nice & friendly staff but the rooms need updating"
This was my second time in two years staying at Marco Polo. Most famous "high end" hotel in Davao City. Many vacationing families, dignitaries, and business people stay here. Very convenient location in the heart of Davao. The bellmen, desk assistants and restaurant waiters are very kind and friendly. Great air conditioning throughout esp for hot and humid days. The breakfast buffet at Marco Polo Cafe is excellent - - so many choices. The rooms are "adequate" but don't fit the billing for a "high end" hotel. My room #622. The furniture is dated, carpet has stains, one of the windows was leaking water into he room during a strong rainfall. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning.

"Nice hotel in a beautiful park-like setting."
The hotel is in one of the BEST PARK-LIKE settings that you can possibly find for a hotel that is so close to the center of Davao, so that is why I really like it very much. And because the hotel is located so far away from the traffic, you don't hear ANY traffic noise when you are sleeping at night, and that is so nice !! But there is one thing everyone needs to be aware of: I used my Mastercard credit card to pay for my room's 'Security Deposit' , a card that I had not used for 4 years, and I did not use it after paying for my security deposit. So in the past 4 years the ONLY place I used it was at the Waterfront Hotel in Davao. When I gave her the card I asked that they use the 'CHIP' on the card, and for me to insert my PIN number to be used with the CHIP. Instead, she used the magnetic strip on the card, and she swiped the card 3 times, saying "problem with card", then she used the CHIP terminal. And guess what happened a few days after returning home? I got a call from Mastercard's FRAUD DETECTION TEAM, telling me that someone in New Jersey had tried to book a $1428 flight on Delta Airlines using my credit card number, and buy a few other things also. They cancelled all of those fraudulent transactions and sent me a new credit card. If you want to use a credit card at that hotel, physically remove the magnetic stripe from your 'CHIPPED' credit card before you give it over, otherwise you will be scammed. Or just use $200 CASH to pay the deposit.

"Little gem in an unlikely place"
I was satisfied with my stay at Casa Leticia. I feel that the materials that they are using rival that of 5-star hotels, especially the towels. They also have copious storage spaces that would be more than enough for anyone who intends to stay for months. Casa Leticia also has something very handy that I have not seen in all of the hotels that I have been: 2-way switch. Two-way switch is a lighting switch system where one could turn on the lights using switches from one place and turn them off using the switches from another place. In Casa Leticia, the 2-sway switches are located near the door and on the night stand. It is very convenient especially if one hates to get out of bed just to turn off the lights. Although the bathroom materials are of high quality, some basic fixtures such as bathroom exhaust fans and hand-held bidets were missing. Keeping hygienic without these fixtures could be quite a challenge. Imagine filling up the entire room with your own fecal smell because there is no way to drive the odor out of the room. Also, I am used to using hand-held bidets, which are a staple in residential as well as commercial bathrooms, and the ones that could not be found in Casa Leticia bathrooms. Using bidets could also minimize the use of tissue papers as patrons would only use paper to wipe the excess water, not the feces. Overall, I had a pleasant experience staying at Casa Leticia.

"Short stay i Davao City"
the location may not be to the liking of some as not in the city centre. from Anisabel it will take about 15 to 20 mins to get to the city. for us this is not bad at all, as plenty of taxi on Dizon Street. the place is quite close to the crocodile park. i think the room is tastefully decorated with generous space. my only issue is that they change the password for the w-fi everyday which you have to get from reception, otherwise the wi-fi connection is quite reliable with strong signal. we had pleasant breakfast at the courtyard, being breezy with tasteful plantings, though i thought they could improve on the type of chairs which are old and dated.

Davao is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Davao, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Davao hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
