Jai joined Hotwire in 2002 and since then has led many of the efforts that resulted in the industry-leading technology platforms that power Hotwire.com and Travel Ticker. In his current role as Vice President, Jai leads all technology development and innovation efforts for the two sites.
Jai began his career at Oracle Corporation before moving on to architecture and management roles at companies like Zanza Software and Broadvision. His expertise is in Java, C++, and high volume internet applications.
You'd never guess upon meeting Jai that his passions are the latest gadgets and fast cars. In that way, he's like James Bond, helping Hotwire wiggle its way out of various technology-related crises, in our case usually related to implementing a new, high quality travel innovation in about half the time it would take any other company.
Jai received a B.S. and M.Eng. in Computer Science from Cornell University. When not at Hotwire, Jai enjoys hitting the road with his daughter for, you guessed it, a little travel.
As Vice President of Finance, Joe oversees Hotwire's global finance and accounting functions. A long-time employee, Joe joined Hotwire in 2001 and has participated in the design and implementation of almost every component of Hotwire's financial and accounting infrastructure.
Before Hotwire, Joe spent over 15 years in accounting and management functions for various international unions and associations in the Washington DC area. There, he was taught the "dark arts" of cost management, which he applies to Hotwire every day to help the company run lean and profitable. Employees often comment that there's a reason he has "savage" in his last name.
Joe received a B.A. in Economics and Financial Management and an M.A. in Accountancy from the Catholic University of America. When not running the numbers, he enjoys scuba diving, hanging out with his dogs, and of course, traveling.
