"Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei"
The hotel is very modern and polished. The staff from the concierge right up to the house keeping staff are all very polite, courteous and helpful. The room amenities are very good and the house keeping personnel makes sure that it is kept neat and tidy with everything in their various places. The restaurants that was serving breakfast can do with some improvements as the quality is mediocre given that this is such a posh hotel. The hotel is also very close to the rail subway and is very convenient to move about towards various parts of Taipei with much convenience during the day or the night.

"Clean, good location, big room, modern, cold staff"
No complaints. Big, modern room. Perfect location. Reasonable price. Only negative is that the staff are a little cold. Usually when you walk into a hotel lobby the staff who are just waiting around will look at you, smile, and greet you. But at this hotel they just ignore you. They also never greeted me even when I approached them for a question or during check in. It's not that they're rude, but just cold or apprehensive about speaking English. They get a scared look on their face when you (as a white guy) talk to them, so probably the latter. But staff spoke fluent English. The hotel style is tacky, but that's common with these types of hotels in Asia and a bit funny. Just be aware the hotel is on top of an office building. Lobby is on floor one, but floors 2-10 are offices. There are 2 elevators dedicated to hotel guests while the office employees take the other 4 elevators. It might be confusing at first. It was also very clean.

"Hands-down best hotel stay"
I've stayed at a number of high-profile 5-star (and "7-star") hotels, and Shangri-La is among the best, if not the best hotel experiences I've had. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I stayed in two rooms, and both were spacious and clean. Other amenities are also great (nice rooftop pool, spa, etc.). The wifi speed is generally good (better than most hotels) but can slow down during busy periods.

"Beautiful lobby"
The hotel has a beautiful lobby that is meant for guests to lounge about and hang out there. The room is clean but small and there are no cupboards or any form of storage. The hotel provides a variety of snacks and drinks, all complimentary, which is a very nice and generous gesture. I am sure guests will appreciate it. The hotel is also conveniently located near Taipei Main Station. All in all, a good place to stay when you're in Taipei!

My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights at the Park Taipei Hotel. It was a heartwarming experience for both of us and are still in awe of the level of customer service we've experienced. It is the best hotel experience I have ever had. The location is great. Its walking distance to Taipei 101, various shopping centers, and close to night markets and other fantastic good choices. The hotel rooms were not fancy but were clean and comfortable. The hotel's customer service, however, is absolutely spectacular. The staff were warm and friendly, and went the extra mile with every opportunity. One notably, we decided to change our rooms on one of our last days. We had left some snacks in the previous room and they reappeared in the room we moved to. (The staff were considerate enough to bring it to our new room without ever being asked to.) We also had an issue with our car service, and the staff immediately called the service on our behalf and resolved the problem. Fantastic experience at the Park Taipei Hotel. Highly recommend.

"Quiet oasis in the jungle"
We stayed here for 4 nights and found the hotel very enjoyable. Taipei to us seemed a large, anonymous Chinese city with not a lot of character, with the museums being the main reason to visit (which were good - National Palace and CKS Memorial Hall the best). The included breakfast was excellent (lots of asian and western choices) and the happy hour (2 glasses of free wine, beer or daily cocktail) very welcome. In Taiwan (and Japan) wine by the glass is hard to find and by the end of a day sightseeing we were 'hanging out' for 6 - 7.30pm happy hour. the hotel staff were always polite and eager to help us. one very useful feature was our room access card came preloaded with 300NT for use on the metro. after our stay we each had 24NT left on the card which shows that we used the metro a lot - to get around Taipei you have to. At the metro stations the signs are bilingual (with English) and the subway is not hard to use. This hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Nanjing Fuxing station on the brown line ( there are 5 different lines all colour coded). To get to the main shopping area - Xinji District - you need to take the subway but this is no problem. Some very yummy chocolates and fresh fruit (which was replenished daily) were appreciated. i don't think we'd bother going back to Taipei but if we did we'd choose Les Suites again.

Zhongxiao Road is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Zhongxiao Road, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Zhongxiao Road hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
