"Upmarket, modern hotel."
Wonderful, brand new hotel. Modern "designer" interiors and all mod-cons. Fabulous breakfast. Incredibly quiet. Convenient for the motorway, avoiding the busy traffic of Middelburg centre. A little distance from the historic centre if you are walking.

"A fine hotel."
This is a fine hotel. Good food (plentiful breakfasts, which were the only meals we ate there), nice room (we were happy to have one with a terrace attached because that gave us a lot of fresh air). Within walking distance of the town center. One day we rented bikes from the hotel for only 10 Euro each for the day. Only caveats: the rooms aren't air conditioned (at least the ones with the terraces), and we had to flip our mattress over; once we did that, the bed was much more comfortable! I wouldn't stay here in hot, hot weather but any other time of year would be fine.

"A pleasant hotel in Zeeland"
This is a pleasant well run and nice hotel situated a bit of the beaten track in Zeeland, but near the beach areas of the Zeeland area. The staff are great and very accommodating, the Food is excellent and really should have a Michelin star or 2 . Pricing for my 1 week stay while there on business was half of the others in the area so great value for money. If I had a moan , and it would be a small thing , it would be some of the internals could do with a redecorate.

"Couldn't have been happier."
My husband and I booked this B&B as the first stop on our honeymoon. We arrived in Middelburg by train around 3:30 in the afternoon and after checking the map, we made our way there on foot (about a 15 minute walk, lugging suitcases). When we arrived, we were greeted by the host, Simon, who was very friendly and immediately took us up to our room (and carried my suitcase). We made small talk about our trip while he showed us where everything was, discussed my love of having our own coffee maker available in the room, and upon discovering that my husband was sick, he went down to the kitchen and returned with hot tea and honey for him. The 400-year-old building is beautifully decorated and modern without losing the old-world charm. It's clear that the hosts took the time to preserve the history, while updating the house to maximize style and comfort. Breakfast was served for a large portion of the morning, at 1 of 2 large communal tables, but we were free to show up downstairs whenever we wanted within the timeframe and food was brought out to us on a large platter - a variety of meats, cheeses and bread/buns, as well as fresh fruit, eggs, sweet buns, and bottomless coffee and juice. Simon was more than happy to chat with us about the house and the town, but we never felt awkward like we weren't able to get away. It was just right. Also, there is a cat ("Jimmy") who lives there as well, but doesn't go up to the rooms. Just happy and content to lay in the hall and be petted.

"Different"
When you sleep in hotels frequently it's nice to stay somewhere different. Being a lover of English breakfast it was nice to have something different also and I don't mean the usual continental breakfast this was really good! Served with consideration and a personal touch. There is no evening meal but there are plenty of places around the town to eat. The staff were good, two of which were the owners but even the other staff give you the impression that they owned it too. I will stay here again.

Zeeland is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Zeeland, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Zeeland hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
