A lovely place to stay if you are wanting to visit surrounding area or attend the service at Menin Gate. Close to shops, free car park, free wifi, excellent quality of breakfast, would highly recommend.

This smallish hotel was easy to find, and very centrally located. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price, and there was a good range of choices. The hotel has a military theme - footlockers, stenciled signs... apparently it's been toned down a bit, but still a bit odd.

We had a fantastic time with Karine and Steffan at their very unique boutique hotel. The food, made by Steffen (as was the breakfast pottery) was fantastic! Highly recommend this hotel...a real treat and something completely different!

Our holiday experience to Ypres was made or the more special with the wonderful apartment we stayed in. Where to start with my review?? We found the apartment easily after a short 5-10 minute walk from the train station. The location was perfect, just off the Market Square and very close to everything. It was also quiet in the evenings, a welcome change from our previous stop.
The comfort, space and facilities in this apartment were tasteful, very spacious, cosy and extremely welcoming!! We had the double room at the top of the stairs with a nice outlook down the street and had every conceivable amenity provided. The apartment included a generous lounge and dining area, kitchen, bedroom and en-suite with plenty of quality linen. The bed was very comfortable! Our hosts met with us to provide an overview of how to operate things in the apartment and also provided several brochures, maps and information about what to see and do in Ypres. The one time I needed to contact them (to enquire where to find the iron and ironing board and yes they were also provided) our host was very responsive. Can't recommend this highly enough !!

"Wonderful comfortable and friendly hotel close to "
Stayed at hotel for one night whilst visiting Ypres and Menin Gate. Hotel was small , friendly and very clean and within one minutes walk of the main square. Breakfast was excellent with a range of continental and cooked food. Staff member Pebbles was an exceptional asset to the hotel with a very warm and friendly manner and attitude. She lit up reception with her smile and conversation. No hesitation in staying here again or in recommending.

This ancient city is rich with history, beginning with raiding by the Romans in 1 BC. During World War I, the town was nearly destroyed. The original Cloth Hall in Ypres was built in 1304, and was carefully rebuilt after the war. The hall is part of a complex recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
