"It was nice to be disconnected. "
It was in a rural area in winter, so the restaurant was closed. To get food you had to drive back into Groveland. There was no Wi-Fi, which at first was a surprise, but then it was nice to be able to put all electronics down and focus on family and nature. We booked with the intentions of going to Yosemite. The drive wasn't too bad to the gates. The hotel room itself had good quality bedding, which is a huge selling point for me. The beds were so comfortable. It had all the amenities to stay long. A refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, cable tv. Everything was clean and well updated.

"Nice hotel"
The owner was really friendly and helpful. 45 minutes from Yosemite. Quiet Hotel we felt like we were the only ones there. The room was clean and located to a lot of restaurants. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely stay again

"Nice hotel, close to all amenities, and skiing."
Nice Rooms, clean and neat. Beds are soft and comfy. Everything you need is there, including coffee for in the morning! A must for some. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Always watching out for your best interest. It is also very quiet and have had no problems with other guests making noise or being loud. Hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Also close to skiing and winter fun. Sonora, Columbia State Park and Jamestown are just down the road. Plenty to see and do in the Mother-load area. We were really pleased with our rooms and will continue to book our room at this hotel as it provides everything that we need. We also feel that it is a safe and pleasant place to stay.

"Great location, great character, needs some work"
Love the place. The rooms and places had such an awesome feel wait all the knotty pine, fireplace, antique furniture, and just the overall atmosphere is rustic and cool! Problem is the place needs some help. A lot of things were broken, there were old broken thermostats and smoke detectors etc. ripped open with wires dangling, some lights didn't work, sofa was coming apart, ceiling fan missing a blade, the towels, soap and other amenities were super cheap and chintzy, WiFi only reached one corner of the room. The place has so much potential, it just needs to be maintained and lightly and they would have repeat customers! The hosts were great and the breakfast was very good. Our girls really enjoyed the breakfast time as did we. The last thing that really bugged me is checkout was done by hand, no computer and not even a calculator. This means no itemized receipt and having to wait while the owner fumbled through math in the books. They really need to move into the century.

"hosts thought of every little detail"
Arline and Rich had thought of every little detail--a snack bar, snuggly socks, recommendations on best restaurants and things to do. Rich showed us his car collection. Grounds are beautiful. It's smack in the middle of town. Full breakfast upon awaking in the morning, coffee in the room as well as bottled water, and so much more. Hosts were there if you needed them, but very quiet and not at all "hovering" over us. A grand experience.

Nice folksy hotel. Stayed in their Chalet in back. #10 . It was for handicapped. Bed was old spring mattress that was hard to sleep on. Otherwise very nice. Not too many choices in that area on Highway 4.

Yosemite National Park is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Yosemite National Park, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Yosemite National Park hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
