This is a lovely relaxed resort hotel set in an idyllic location. Where it falls very short is in the restaurant and service areas. Everything about this place calls for top quality food service, but the reality is it's at par with an airport Hilton. Very unfortunately, since that means I'll probably never return, along with many other disappointed guests. That said, I don't want to leave the impression that the hotel itself isn't very nice and well-run, it is.

We were surprised to see the inside of the lobby and the rooms. It was all so modern and nice looking. And the view from the rooms was great out over the river. I am glutten free so was glad to be able to eat an egg, bacon and fruit for breakfast. Thank you.

My only issue was the self parking lot. The spaces closest to the hotel were always full with construction workers vehicles. They should be parking in a dedicated area. Also they drive their John deer vehicles very fast in the self parking lot

The Admirals Inn was fantastic. Upon arrival, Marty greeted us and made us feel right at home and went out of his way to call all available restaurants in the area to see if they were open (we arrived at 9pm and most places closed early because of snow).
The rest of our stay was relaxing and quiet with no issues whatsoever. One area of improvement that would have put the icing on the cake would have been keeping the hottub open during the winter.
