Nice location on the beach with great views on both sides. Exterior of building is in bad need of a facelift. Interior has been updated, but the bones are just so old. It feels a bit cold and sterile in the rooms. Overall is very good, but my chief complaint is with parking...just not enough and frustrating to have to valet. The smell of the water is not good! The landscaping, grounds and setting are gorgeous....which makes up for some of the other things.

This hotel has great views of the ocean! You can sit on the couch or at the kitchen table and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. If its warm outside there is a balcony you can sit on and enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of the ocean. I would stay there again.

The hotel staff was fantastic. We did have a little trouble using the key card but finally got the hang of it. The only dissapoinying thing was the fact that the only toiletries we had was one tiny bottle of shampoo and one tiny bottle of lotion, my husband and I had to split the tiny bottle of shampoo for showers and wasn't even enough to wash my hair. Very quiet hotel, missed breakfast cause we slept in. The beds are really hard, for me that's great cause I prefer firmness. But if you have to have a soft bed you won't get much sleep.

You get what you pay for. This is a very old hotel and the rooms are tired and dated. Don’t hold your breath for the breakfast...it is weak coffee, a granola bar or pre-packaged muffin. The staff are very polite and friendly and in a pinch it works.

The only downside I have about this hotel is the lobby is across the street about a blocks walk away at the Hilton and they share parking. The room was great, we felt at home with a beachy vibe. The river view is great too, and front row to the USCG cutter and USN battleship. I would give it 5 stars other than the inconvienice of the lobby and parking.

We stayed here one night for an event downtown and it was great! Cleanliness is the most important thing to me, and it was not bad at all. The bathroom was very clean and there was no odor in the room. The pull out bed was a little uncomfertable, but worked great for the 3year old. Overall a very good stay! (And there is a chick-fil-a right across the street with a play area!!)

I arrived about 630pm Saturday evening, the staff on duty were very friendly and informative. I was given a nice room all looked very good until I went to restroom. In the bathtub on the wall and on top of toilet tank were pieces of long black hair, which I assume is from previous occupant. But overall it was clean..
