We enjoyed an overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Request a room in the back where you will have a nice wooded view and avoid the sound of road traffic. The breakfast was good and there were plenty of options from bagels to cereal, oatmeal or yogurt and fruit. The staff was pleasant.

Our hosts at the B&B, Donna and Tim, were excellent. The house is beautiful and well maintained. Great breakfast served with other house guests at 8:30 each morning. Our room did not have its own bathroom but we shared a half-bath and full bath, so this was no problem.

The Villager is fine. Clean, with good size rooms and only one floor so that people aren't stomping around over your head. It's mostly quiet, except for a train that comes by several times a night. They only charged $10 extra for my dog, which is fair. You have to go to the front desk for ice, but the owner is nice and accommodating.
It's been a while, but when I stayed at the much more expensive Williams Inn, I found it frou frou and claustrophobic. Much prefer this place.
There are bagels and English muffins for breakfast, but there's also a nice breakfast place, the Chef's Hat, two doors down, easy walking distance. Lots of room to walk the dog, also.

""COZY" little place close to where we wanted to be"
Clean and quiet are the two most important aspects of this motel. The room was decorated simply and vintage, but it was certainly adequate and respectable. The owners are a family business - they are service oriented, courteous, pleasant, and helpful with information about the area.

Education, art, and nature come together in Williamstown, a college town in the most northwestern corner of Massachusetts at the edge of the Taconic Mountains. Each year during July and August the campus of prestigious Williams College hosts the Tony winning Williamstown Theater Festival. Also in town are the galleries, exhibits, and 140 acres of wetland trails at the Clark Art Institute.
