"Nice location with a great view"
I love the view at 10th floor! Comfortable beds. Convenient location inside Japan town. But my rental car got window break-in during dinner; didn't know that SF has the highest rate in snap&go crimes, even in Japan town. I should have parked the car inside the garage right away. Hotel staff may consider warning to visitors in the future.

"Great hotel experience"
My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for our first time visiting San Francisco. The Queen Anne is beautiful and in a central San Francisco location. I really enjoyed the afternoon cookies and tea/coffee bar. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to help us. We will surely be returning to this hotel next time we visit SF.

"Comfortable hotel in wonderful neighborhood"
Was worried this was too off the beaten path of the action...but found it to be a beautiful relaxing stay in a friendly neighborhood. This is how you enjoy the true flavor of the people of San Francisco not to mention one amazing home after another. Staff was very helpful in finding local restaurants and educating us on the best way to use public transportation (since we are from the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio). Great stay !!

"Amazing Historic Property!"
My husband and I had the most relaxing and wonderful visit staying at the Payne Hotel. It's historic but everything you need to be modern is perfectly so. It really is like staying in someone's home, only it's large enough and so solid that you never hear anyone and we rarely saw anyone even with the property being practically full. The staff was lovely and really cared. They are going through an upgrade, but honestly, I love it just the way it is! Elegant and private, and the location works as well...

"Perfect location "
Parking isn't the greatest so arrive early if you want free parking, otherwise you're forced to park on the street at your own risk. It's in the middle of everything so it's a great location for tourists. Would stay again

"Good place to crash for the night"
Motel is very basic. No free coffee or anything but it's good for 4 hours of sleep and a short walk to the start of the race, which started at 6:30am but I had to be there by 5:45AM. I didn't expect much for $109/night ($125 including taxes) so I was happy. Free parking and its close proximity to my race were the 2 deciding factors for me to pick this motel. If I was on vacation, I probably would not pick this place. But if you just need a place for crash for the night, I recommend it.

"Nice hotel close to the opera house. "
We loved everything about our stay. Customer service was great. The breakfast spread was nice, although I think they should offer more protein options other than just hard boiled eggs. Jo the concierge was very attentive and kind. Overall a very nice hotel! We will definitely come back.

"Great location, clean room nothing more."
Located in Hayes, close to Mission District and Haight-Ashbury is the best thing about this place. The room was clean, somewhat pleasant but not what we expected especially since we booked the suite. No fridge in room.

Beautiful hotel with Edwardian finishings. Rooms were very clean and tidy. You must have an appreciation for antiques and historical features. Staff are pleasant and professional and will provide guidance to visitors as needed. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who loves vintage establishments.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Western Addition, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Western Addition hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
