My three daughters and I were greeted warmly by the reception staff. They provided great instructions for starting our fire and keeping it going. We felt secure and comfortable. The 3 am walk to the community bathrooms was one of our great experiences. My 10 year old daughter had never seen a night sky like that before. She just stood there in the path transfixed by all of the stars. The reception tent was always our first destination when returning from our Yellowstone adventures. The kids loved the endless hot cocoa, the selection of board games, and the giant Jenga. The stay was relaxing and rejuvenating.

Unimpressive older appearing motel but rooms were clean, had plenty of room, and were adequately furnished. Free Wi-Fi was promised but only available in the office. 17 channels on TV. Main attraction was extremely close access to the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Few minutes walk to restaurants, grocery stores, and souvenir shops.

"No frills cabin close to west entrance to park.."
This cabin was located on an ordinary town street, not in a rustic wooded setting as one would expect....that put us off right away...The decor was bare bones but the room was large enough to hold two double beds plus a small kitchenette with room to spare..It also had a front porch with two chairs..I guess you could say it had limited rustic charm to it..And a large nice flat screen TV..
However, this was not an upscale experience at all for the luxury customer, despite a hefty price tag..

Yellowstone is one of America's most well-known and best-loved national parks. Open 365 days a year, visitors can take in the abundance of wildlife (don't miss the bison), take a leisurely or backcountry hike, and visit Old Faithful and the geyser basins. Yellowstone is home to 2/3 of the world's geysers. Guided hiking and cycling tours are also available.
