"Great service, relaxing atmosphere, very friendly,"
We loved food, the room was tidy, bed comfortable, bathroom was clean. We liked area, building and the park around the hotel. We enjoyed the swimming in the pool and sauna. The hotel's staff were professional and helpful.

The owners were at reception/available. Gave us a tour and how to use the amenities. The info didn't show or have info showing breKfast was self-service in your own room/studio. Which didn't include bacon/sausages/beans.
But there was a whole loaf of bread and enough small cereL packs for two

"Top quality pub hotel beside the railway station"
Very helpful and friendly staff, even when very busy. Unusual "blank check" bistro breakfast arrangements, and excellent quality. Could not be more convenient for access to trains and the centre of town. My en suite room was clean and pleasant enough, but the big downers were: totally inadequate lighting - not enough to read or see a keyboard; no desk or table on which to place a laptop, papers or to write; loud air-conditioning noise most of the night; poor and intermittent wireless internet connection.

I really felt welcomed, safe and extremely well accommodated. The room was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean and well cared for. I thought the fresh coffee, fresh milk and carrot cake was a lovely touch and certainly made me feel welcomed. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at this relaxing, centrally located establishment. Claire is a lovely host and made my stay very enjoyable overall.

We stayed for two nights during the Festival and Tattoo.
Wonderful old house set in beautifully manicured gardens. The owner was very friendly and helpful and gave us a key to come and go as we pleased. We arrived home late on the first night to find the curtains drawn and light on for us in the bedroom.
Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent coffee!
Our bedroom was very spacious and en-suite with the bathroom opposite the room. The bed and pillows were so comfy, we slept really well on both nights.
We both agreed that this felt like a visit to a relative as we felt very welcome and at home.
For those requiring dust free and sterile hotels, this wouldn't be for you but we loved the place and would certainly stay again and recommend to friends.

Due west of the capital, much of West Lothian is industrial and of limited interest to tourists. Where it meets the Firth of Forth however, South Queensferry is a charming small waterside town with great views of the magnificent Forth Bridges. Boats go from here to peaceful Inchcolm Island with its ruined abbey. Nearby is the grand 18th-century pile of Hopetoun House, and the splendid ruins of Mary Queen of Scots’ birthplace, Linlithgow Palace.
