Staff was very pleasant to deal with. Room was clean and spacious. No problems with checkin or checkout. Having breakfast included was a nice added touch. Room that was first assigned had a problem with the electrical due to renovations, but we were quickly assigned another, even better room.

We were guaranteed a room with 2 queen beds as my son and I were going to the Ontario Volleyball Championships and we really needed to beds. When I went to check in, I was about 15 minutes early and they said the rooms weren't ready as they had had a really busy night before with a big hockey team in. I said I wouldn't be back until very late at night since we had to head to our tournament . they assured me that I would get a room with 2 queens.
When we arrived at 11 pm, they said that all the rooms with 2 queens were gone, so we got one with 1 king. They offered a cot which I took, but sleeping on a cot was not what I had in mind. Plus, they put us in an accessible room which is fine in itself but the shower head was a very low handheld, so we couldn't have a proper shower.

Waterloo's small-town feel meshes with its rural setting, but belies a vibrant city. Uptown Waterloo, whose Public Square hosts events from winter skating to summer concerts, concentrates cultural and dining hotspots at the corner of King and Willis. Nearby are the campuses of 2 prominent names in Canadian education and high-tech: The University of Waterloo, and BlackBerry maker Research in Motion.
