I have stayed in Village hotels before and never had problems before however on this occasion the room we were in had a high pitched squeak that happened whenever another room on the floor closed the door. This wasn't a problem during the night however the morning was dreadful. The air conditioning did not work either this was reported but as the hotel was full we couldn't relocate but were provided with a fan. I would stay at the village again but it was a bit disappointing this time.

"Beuaitufl hotel two minute walk from Leeds Trinity"
I booked the Malmaison because I had work to do in Leeds and got a good deal on room rates. The staff are wonderful and the rooms themselves are beautiful however the beds are like slabs of concrete - for such a large hotel chain you would at least expect comfortable beds.

Feel like you stepped into the roaring 20s in this intimate Art Deco-styled hotel on the old waterfront in Leeds.
Elegant black, white and red color scheme in the lobby went well with the gracious staff. Our room was spacious, with fluffy cotton robes, staff-made shortbread and caramels every night and a super-comfy bed.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel just for 1 night when we came for slamdunk festival! The hotel was gorgeous and the giant bed was so comfy we snoozed our alarms until 10.45 for our 11am checkout. In favour of being in that bed linger than putting on makeup...or looking presentable! We would definitely stay here again when we come to leeds and would recommend it to anyone!

Wakefield’s history dates back to the 6th century. In recent years, this West Yorkshire city has developed from a struggling coal mining town into an emerging metropolis. The area is now home to several national tourist attractions, including the National Coal Mining Museum and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. For outdoor enthusiasts, Wakefield is also a popular place for hiking and skiing.
