We stayed here for four nights while on our first visit to Vienna. The room was quiet, well-furnished and very clean. Although the hotel is in an old building, it had been completely renovated and all the public areas were very modern, well-lit and clean. Breakfast was very good, everything fresh and appetising. We did all our sightseeing on foot from the hotel, occasionally getting a tram back when we'd been on our feet all day!

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days before we were off for a week trip outside Vienna. When we came back for the second staying, the stuff in the hotel still remember our previous room numbers and our staying. That makes us feel warmly welcomed and comfortable. The food at the breakfast is quite good. The location is very convenient to go anywhere in the city. We enjoyed staying at this hotel very much.

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to discover that our room was ready and they had upgraded us to a junior suite! The room was lovely in every way and the staff was extremely helpful throughout our stay, making reservations for us and even putting us at the front of the line at the coffee house. everything was impeccable and beautifully functional. Perfect balance between old world authenticity and modern convenience!!

Lovely hotel, excellent friendly staff. The rooms are generally soundproof, unfortunately we had a very loud Italian? party next door and I'm a light sleeper, I was woken at 4.10 by loud conversation. ! The room was very spacious and comfortable. The view was of air conditioning units, so wish I had requested street view. The hotel is very well placed for all the main sights, especially the Opera House and Museum Quarter. When we arrived the temperature was 32 degrees but no air conditioning in lobby or room. There were fans in the room. Generally a lovely hotel.

My daughter and I found the Grand Hotel Wien to be extremely comfortable, with extras offered that we did not expect: water, fruit, sweets. The staff was very helpful. The location allowed us easy access to favorite places, museums and the Opera among others. We would definitely book this hotel again.

Most travellers to Vienna will spend the majority of their time exploring the Innenstadt (centre). Neatly circumscribed by the Ringstrasse, this area is largely pedestrianised, with quaint cobbled streets and medieval squares. The city's focal point is the Gothic spire of the Stephansdom and key attractions include the huge Hofburg palace and the Spanish Riding School.
