Hotel Barocco

Piazza Barberini, 9, Rome - Map
Our stay at this hotel was so nice, that after a quick trip to Venice, we returned to Rome and booked an additional 2 nights back at Hotel Barocco. The room was beautiful and a nice size for being in the heart of old Rome. The complimentary breakfast they offered had a great selection of food and the cappuccinos were the perfect way to start any sight seeing in Rome. The location is perfect for taking the Metro or catching a bus, but if you've got comfortable shoes you can walk to any of the major sights. It's only a 5-10 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain or the Spanish Steps, 15 minutes to the Pantheon, about 20 minutes to Piazza Navona and Campo De Fiori, and about 45 minutes to the Vatican or the Coliseum.

"Nice hotel with modern rooms. "
This is a very clean hotel that has been recently renovated. The beds were comfortable and the decor was colorful without being garish. The breakfast was very good with a lot of menu variety. Given the condition of the hotel, the rates are reasonable. If you plan to arrive or depart by train, the closeness of the train station is a major convienience. You can walk there, even carrying luggage, in five minutes.

Via di Pietra 89a, Rome - Map
Convenient hotel with a great, friendly, helpful staff. Close to Trivi Fountain and Pantheon. Breakfast was great with lots of fresh choices. Enjoyed the roof top patio although it isn't open during the day. It's an older hotel so carpets in the halls are a little worn. Beds were comfortable and no street noise with the windows closed. I'd stay there again.

Hotel degli Artisti

Via degli Artisti 18, Rome - Map
"Great Location "
The delgi Artisti location is great within walking distance to many of Rome's attractions, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon etc. Also a number of great restaurants nearby from high end to the local pizzeria. All the Staff were more than helpful with directions , suggestions and setting up transportation requests even before arrival they reached out to us offering to help which I found to go above and beyond. the room was clean and well appointed (was without a coffee maker kind of an American thing!) We did opt for the upgraded Junior Suite which did give us a little extra sitting room. Breakfast buffet each morning served until 11am which was nice for those of us who wanted to sleep in ! Only disappointing thing was because of the timing of our visit early Nov the roof top bar was closed for the season but weather dictates that when we return the delgi Artisti will be our choice again

"Great Hotel in a great location"
We only stayed one night before embarking on a cruise. This hotel is perfect for those taking the train to the port or anywhere else. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the main train station. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It is centrally located to tour all the main sights either by walking, via the metro, or by bus. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Room was larger than those in other hotels in the area, they were also recently renovated and updated. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices and was a great way to start the day. We will definitely be staying here again!

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
